My Lovely Vn 800
ive had loads of bikes.this kwaka is awesome cant fault it in anyway.if I could afford one I'd buy one and keep it for best.love the ride, reliability, standard pipes a wee bit quiet but nothing to write home about.love the look, the seating position, plenty of poke for an 800,cruises along at seventy all day long.she never misses a beat or fails to start I'd recommend one to anyone looking for a grand little cruiser.

Cracking Cruiser
I pick this bike up late spring 2012 from Leytonstone in London, she'd been in storage for 7 years, so the bike had a full service as soon as I got her home. The ride is supremely comfortable, having not had a bike for 6 years (VFR previously, getting onto a cruiser felt strange at first, the pegs are in the wrong place! But after a couple of sets of traffic lights and junction in heavy London traffic it felt instantly right.
I can honestly say I love this bike, I have a set of straight-through fishtails on it and it sounds awesome. I have also since fitted an HID Gas Discharge headlight which although not needed does improve your own visibility and your ability to see things.
The only thing I don't like about it is the colour, metalic green and silver, that will be changed next winter.
The brakes are adequate in consideration of the type of bike and the performance level.

Can't Beat It!
I've owned my Kwaka since 2000 when it had just 800k's on the clock. She now has 117,000+ and still going strong. For the first 8 years, she was my main commuter bike, doing over 350k's per week just for work. I also took the bike away on long holiday trips, three times from Queensland to Tasmania/SA and back each time doing over 10,000 in a month. And never, ever, not once, did it let me down. However, I am particular with having services done regularly and properly. Just lately, due to age/km, have had to do the expected maintenance things that come with time, plus had to replace the ignition block, but my mechanic says she's showing no signs of slowing down any time soon...........unlike me! I have the money to replace this bike and love the look of the Victory range, but I just can't part with this bike just yet. Only real drawback for me is that the seat isn't comfortable on long trips, but a sheepskin cover fixed that. I was told these bikes were made to last and I'd have to say that's true.

Wanting To Be A Born Again Biker I Started Looking
Wanting to be a born again biker I started looking for a bike the wife and I could enjoy riding ,she insisted it had to be a cruiser not a sports ,I found a VN800 locally and fell in love with it straight away, even though we have only done 500 miles in 2009 on her can't wait from spring to get here for some serious riding. She handles brill has load of torque and buzzes up to 90mph no problem . Last bike I had was a GT750 kettle in 1980 lol this VN is far better to ride . Would like a 2000 but a VN900 is more realistic as im pushing pension age (61).

Had Only One Other Bike Before This, A Dragstar 11
Had only one other bike before this, a Dragstar 1100. Though the VN800 is smaller its more fun, nippier and has a better seating position.Mine has Remus slashcuts and chugs like a Harley.Absolutely love the bike, hits a ton absolutely no problem and is very manoeverable. Fantastic looks, has a metal rear fender(is that standard). Chain is easy enough to maintain but could have done with a centre stand. Got the look of the bike absolutely spot on,great lines, much prettier than the Drag in my opinion, nicer riding position and so far has started first time every time.I'm a fan and will be sticking with Vulcans but would love to try a bigger one.

I have had my 2003 Kawasaki VN800 for almost 3 years. Its been a great bike. Lots of new fun parts like exhaust, stage 2 carb kit, seat, handlebars and some paint. Very reliable rides great, even after lowered 2 inches and had tons of power after opening the carb and exhaust.

Had the bike for almost 1 yr, done 8000km, put shotgun custom pipes on it and different indicators and headlight, sounds and looks like it means business, if I leave it in the shed for a mth it will still start without a problem, at some stage I will buy a Harley, but I will be keeping the vn.
