Nervous because my old crashes I started driving this English bike, I sopouse ir was English, under its skin but most parts aire japanese too.

The saddle/seat most comfortable , the driving great, the sound marvelous.

6 gears, in each one power enough.

5 to fight into heavy storms.

Trusting in God, for long , happy and savety yourneys this ti me.

Go along triumph trophy, go along,

Friendly greetings from a Dutch fellow

1999 Triumph Trophy 900

I bought my Trophy because I have a daily 200 mile commute and at 49 years of age, I needed something with plenty of power, a good seating position and good weather protection (I live in Germany and ride all year round). This bike has exceeded my expectations - it is simply fantastic.

Mine is the platinum coloured one. She runs smooth and the 900 triple sounds great; it is definitely different to all the jap 4s I have run in the past. The power curve is constant and starts to come in at a shade over 5 grand. There is no narrow power band and this is where the bike comes into its own as a rapid tourer - either solo or two up.

Luggage space is more than ample and the colour co ordinated panniers look trick. I can average about 50 MPG at 80/90 MPH and at the moment my Michelin Pilot Roads last a cool 10,000 miles (autobahn miles). Mechanically, this bike is over engineered and practically bulletproof!

The Trophy 900 What A Bike, A True Bikers Bike

I have owned my trusty trophy for over two years now and have simply not got bored with it I have had all the usual Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc. etc. etc. still have a YZFR 750 and a CBR 600 track bike, yes they are all different animals but if you want a good day out in comfort and a bit of fast fun on route the trophy will not disappoint in fact it is quite deceiving when you sit up and open the throttle you think you ain't going that fast but look down and you realise you are the only negative comment being the seat I think mine is not the original but it is not the most comfortable it tends to push you forward a little a minor blip was a misfire which turned out to be the coils a comon fault apparently so for any one thinking of buying one of these just do it you will not go far wrong I also think they are well priced in fact probably under priced for what you are getting..

cheers good luck and safe riding................

The Triumph Trophy 900 Is Quite Simply The Best Bi

The Triumph Trophy 900 is quite simply the best bike I've ever owned, it's just a great touring or commuter bike. The engine is over built which means very little goes wrong provided you service regularly, it has plenty of torque and will happily keep up with the best tourers around. You have to get used to it being slightly top heavy but once moving the bike is very agile. Good screen protection from the wind and with mine you get 50 mpg provided you don't gun it. They are getting on a bit in age now but I would not let that put you off. My 93 900 has done 29000 miles but feels like its just run in, I know owners who have trophy's with 70k on them and they are still running well. The other advantage is you can now buy one of these fairly cheaply and you will certainly get good value for their price. Can't recommend this bike enough!

Yes, Its Over 10 Years Old And It Does Not Have Fu

Yes, its over 10 years old and it does not have fuel injection, but I bought my 1200 Trophy when it had done 14k miles and its now up to 20k. Only problem was one of the coils breaking down. Took a Triumph mechanic with 20 years service to fix it, the local dealer thought it was a fuel injection problem, till I pointed out it had 4 carbs. Anyway, you wont find a better tourer. Its confortable, reasonably economical, has bags of torque and is the best fun to ride of any bike I have tried. You can keep your Japanese pocket rockets, all scream and vibration, the Trophy is a class act. Anything I dont like, yes its top heavy and that takes some getting used to. Small price to pay for a cracking, well built machine!!

Triumph Trophy 900, Its A Tall Bike And Heavy With

Triumph Trophy 900, its a tall bike and heavy with it but apart from that I cant fault it. Its fun to ride, looks different than Japanese bikes, sounds brilliant and it is FUN to ride. Mpg is about 200 miles on a tank full (25ltrs) I have put 40k miles on this bike, never uses oil in between services. Pillion comfort is good. Adjusting the chain is easy. Instruments are clear and easy to read, brakes are very good. Ecellent bike highly recomend possibly a classic because it has the fun factor even though it is disguised.

1995 900 Trophy Triple In British Racing Green. I'

1995 900 Trophy Triple in British Racing green. I've had plenty of bikes & took a bit of a gamble with this going from a cbr to the trophy but it has payed off. This bike has grown on me from day one, you get used to the character of these early triumphs and I would be very hard pressed to change now. Had some light tuning done (carbs) & decided to fit a wilbers rear shock. Bags & bags of torquey smooth power from surely one of the best engines triumph ever produced. Handling is great with contiforce tyres, decent rear shock & minor adjustment to front forks oil wieght etc. The brakes if maintaned & cleaned are plenty even two up with luggage but some people up-grade to 6pot front calipers. It is fast, I would say fast with a splash of hooligan madness in there...not supershipbusa hyperbalistic all the time everywhere fast but definately hold on tight fast. Bodywork & fittings all seem very well made this bike has covered 65k miles, many winters & plenty of 2up touring it still runs, looks and rides superb, no rust odd stone chip but overall excellent. These bikes need to be ridden, not left in a cold damp garage. Keep the battery charged up carbs & engine maintained and im sure they will last for many years.

I found this review very helpful because...I have a trophy 9 with 48k on it. This gave me insight to the longevity I can expect from the beast

I Purchased A 900cc Triumph Trpohy 2 Years Ago And

I purchased a 900cc Triumph Trpohy 2 years ago and it was one of the best investments i have ever made, the bike was one of the first to be built in the Hinkley factory back in 91 and she still looks as good today.

She starts every time first time and loves the open road good, fuel economy if you ride sensebly 50 to 54 mpg, easy to maintain and i have to say cheap to own apart from regular services no other major expence has been needed all in all highly recommended

I Bought The Trophy 1200 In 1994 With 63 Miles On

I bought the Trophy 1200 in 1994 with 63 miles on the clock. I have loved every minute of riding it. I regularly used to ride from Portsmouth to Hull and back in a weekend and never really found it uncomfortabale. The power through the range makes it really fun and effortless to ride sensibly or play around a little.

I initially experienced a few electrical problems that seemed to have stayed fixed, one the parts were replaced and its still going strong.

I agree that it is a little top heavy at extremely low speeds but I don't tend to spend too much time down there, so not a big problem for me.

How much can I get for my non-runner Triumph Trophy 1200 1992? It has 23,000 mileage. Ā A new clutch is needed. It's not in very good condition, left unprotected to the elements.
