I Had My Fz1 For 1 Year Now, And Is Very Happy Wit

I had my FZ1 for 1 year now, and is very happy with the bike. I had a FJR before the Fazer, and these are very different, especially in size and 'feeling' of size and weight. The FJR was a suberb long term tourer, and did fairly good in bendy roads as well, but the Fazer is a different animal in the bends. The only 'unknown' is which tire that suites best on the bike; So far the Pirelli Corsa III has been the best, but they wore out too quickly. Metzeler M3 upsets the bike when it get's squared of after long use. So the next to try now would be either a Michelin Pilot Power 2CT or a Michelin Pilot Road 2. Tires DO make quite a difference on the Fazer, so I find it the most crucial part on the bike on the roads in my neighborhood. There is a load of bikes out there, but there is no obvious replacement that springs in my mind to swap the Fazer with, I am very happy with the bike.

I found this review unhelpful because...the reviewer appears to be reviewing the wrong bike - his model, the FZ1 is not the same as the Fazer 1000!

Done A Lot Of Miles On Mine Over In Europe On My Y

Done a lot of miles on mine over in Europe on my Yamaha Fazer, it eats the miles up and is well capable as a touring machine with a taller after market screen fitted. I read a few comments about how bad the rear suspension is but after 13000 mine has been fine. I need a new bike this year and will be sad to see it go, I'll miss the angry wasp look.

After Owing 3 Gsxr's. I First Was Disappointed Wit

After owing 3 GSXR'S. I first was disappointed with the fazer but 3 years on I wouldn't swap it for numb wrists backache and leaving my wife at home. For anyone new to fazer 1000 try one you wont regret it ,it makes perfect sense for road riding, good fun without risking your licence. The finish is tons better than Suzuki or Kawasaki 125BHP 160MPH is that not enough for the road?

Fit a zero gravity D/B screen, Pirelli Diablo Corsa's make a big improvement to a great bike already.

The Bike Is A Wonderful Bike, Very Comfortable And

The bike is a wonderful bike, very comfortable and very fast, can take corners that not a lot of other bikes can handle. It is an all rounder bike can drive it to work to the city on a daily basis and then tour during the week end. The new Aluminum frame is great great and you can feel the balance of the bike. The dash display is great visible during daylight and lovely during the night (a lot of visibilty) due to the lighting system. Over all it is a great bike to own.

I love this bike, on the track in the morning and touring in the afternoon. Very smooth running and extremely comfortable.

Previously I Had A Gsxr 600 Which Was Brilliant. P

Previously I had a GSXr 600 which was brilliant. Problem was on longer trips it became uncomfortable. The Fazer 1000 is a brilliant compromise, it goes really well and after a 2 hour ride I can hop off and still be able to stand up straight and walk normally. I will need to consider a different exhaust can, and have ordered a hugger as the rear shock is exposed. I loved the gixer but the Yamaha is much more practical.

A good value end can get a bose carbon one ! road legal yet sound great. Link pipe stainless and curve higher than micron or acropovic. Cheaper also. special integral hanger bracket ,so no nasty straps.

The Yamaha Fazer 1000 Bike Really Is A Brilliant A

The Yamaha Fazer 1000 bike really is a brilliant all-rounder. At 6'3" I needed a bit more leg room, this bike has it. The engine has fantastic usable power in any gear, and with an Ivans jet kit it makes it even better.

I have had the bike for 2 1/2 years and would not part with it for any other bike. It rarely gets upset on any road surface (dependant on tyres). I have toured in Spain on it and it was great - but that is when you need to get the suspension right - it is a bit soft, but with the right adjustment is fantastic. The screen is a bit small, but you can get bigger aftermarket ones - I just got used to the original.

I mainly use it for weekend blasts, brakes are very good, and wheelies are easy :-) It will give an R1 a run for it's money, and then some.

I found this review helpful because I own a fazer1000 05 model and although a lot of reviews rate it especially in USA, you find some quite harsh comments. For road riding one or two up its hard to fault.
