8 Years Later.....
I purchased my Mojito Custom 50 in 2004 and it's still running fine and keeping up with the newer 2011-2012 chinese scooters that have become all the rage in my area.
Mine is only partially de-restricted and tops out close to 40mph.
As most of the other reviews have stated, the Mojito 50 gets a lot of attention with it's completely reto design, and of course all the new scooter owners go crazy when they see the wider handlebar assembly.
I have only really had one issue with the bike, I don't know if it's how I turn corners but one hard left turn broke my speedometer/odometer cable and after being replaced it happened again, so one of 2 things, I take turns to tight or the cable itself was just made a little to short.
I would also like to note that the steering lock one person mentioned is honestly not a viable theft deterrent, mine was stolen while locked, but was easily recovered since it's a rather rare bike and very noticeable.
After 8 years of this being my primary transportation I would recommend getting one if the price is right.

I Have Had My Apprilia Mojito Custom For About 5 M
I have had my apprilia mojito custom for about 5 months now and it is a great bike to ride with it's stylish retro looks. It catchs everyones eye when I pull up. De-restricted I can hit a speed of 55 mph (60 downhill) not enough to keep up with my friend who have got aprilla rs 50....although it is a great cruzing speed for a 16 year old...only thing that I am disapointed about is the space under the seat, but enough for my open face helmet, gloves and sunglasses fit nicely in the glove box (which most bikes don't have)...

A Very Good Bike Overall. Its Top Speed De-restric
A very good bike overall. Its top speed De-Restricted is about 35-40 MPH which I was supprised at because the restricted speed for uk roads is 30 MPH. Either way this bike is not a racing bike or a bike to try and pull stunts on because its a criuser which weighs 115Kg. (Which is also re-asuring to know if you fear it being stolen) with its stearing lock any thief won't easily be able to move it.Stats: Air Cooled, 49,4 cc, Cost New £1600 - £1650 Depending on dealer. If you are a person who likes a very comfy, stylish bike which gets you from A to B in style and are not bothered about other ped going faster than you.this is the bike for you.

Bought My Aprilla Mojito 50 Habana Custom '02 Two
Bought my Aprilla Mojito 50 Habana Custom '02 two months ago for €500, real bargain, then, the bike didn't look great but after 1 Sunday afternoon of cleaning and polishing she got back all the shines! Great scooter altogether, easy to drive, mirror visibility just OK, lights are fine but only at higher speed. Riding my Habana is great fun! She attracts attention all the time! Pulls very good, I'm always first at the lights!
Great one to really enjoy all the city spins :)
