Good Little Toy
Found my 59 plate 125 sum-up been parked up outside for 3 1/2 years, got it going after 1 hour, played with under powered engine now 70mph with ease, cheep GY6 parts cost £150 to make it pick up and will go over 70mph and engine still in one bit. bad point rusty frame, second hand parts easy to find on internet, Chinese scooter with sum-up badge, GY6 152 qmi engine cheep parts

Had My Sum-up From New.
Well I bought my Sum-up in 2008 brand new with only 5 miles on the clock. So what can I say, well as soon as I drove it away from the dealers I knew I had made a mistake. The bike just feels underpowered and the engine always sounds like it is struggling. In the 5 years I have had it I have come to like it but I would not buy another one. It has so far only covered 3450 miles so has plenty of life left in it yet but I understand where people are coming from regarding the build quality. I also have had the problem with the mirror welds breaking, just a bad design if you ask me. But my local garage was able to reweld it for me. Rust, sure it has some but I have covered it with Hammerite and it's been fine, however my bike is kept garaged and should not in all fairness have rusted so quickly (the exhaust being a big culprate). Overall I agree you get what you pay for. I wouldent buy another but I will keep mine going as long as it's able..

Would Not Recommended
I had the scooter for 2 years and 7 months. I looked after it, serviced on regular bases but once it reached 23000km mileage the engine broke down and to fix it I received a bill of £800. I decided to scrap the bike instead.

Have Had Zero Probs With My Bike Can Only Think As
have had zero probs with my bike can only think as mine is latest spec its much better but doesn't sound like the same bike as other reviews? not super quick but starts first time and does 90 mpg. I do clean my bike most weekends so it hasn't rusted like the others say? perhaps thats the reason. I have done 14025 km now and its just had normal servicing which was much cheaper than the italian scooter I replaced with the sum up I change my bikes every 12 to 18 months and on this experience will be choosing a Peugeot again. One final point I have had excellent service from my local dealer in worksop.

I Brought A Peugoet 125cc Scooter Last Year, And T
i brought a peugoet 125cc scooter last year, and to be honest i wished i hadnt. This bike hasnt been reliable for me and the amount of times ive had to take bake to the shop to be looked at for different reasons is shocking. You think when buying a new scooter you will only ever get limited faults, not with this model. Im very dissapointed. Ive completely lost confidence with this bike and would be ashamed to sell it to anyone else. I wouldnt recommend a purchase of this model, although i could have been unfortunate to have had a dodgy one.

I Bought The Bike With 5,000 Km On The Clock, And
I bought the bike with 5,000 km on the clock, and two days (20km) later, the seat split and the welds on a mirror bracket broke. I waited for nearly eight weeks for the parts, and so far, all that has been delivered is the handlebar. I bought from a Yamaha dealer who went out of his way to help, but the Peugeot dealer's attitude stank - he didn't want to honour the warranty.
It seems reliable, is economical, rides without problem and will even do an indicated 60 (mph) with me onboard, and all this without drama. It is a good bike, betrayed by the Peugeot dealer who sold it originally and poor build quality in some areas. The engine is sound, everything else does as it should.
Q&A
I have a Peugeot Sum-Up 125, have bought a new light harness for it but the near side headlight is still not working, is this normal? I looked at one online a while ago and the light was not on.
