Why Does My Peugeot Only Do 30mph
Someone has mentioned their vivacity Peugeot does 45mph but I just bought one and it does 30mph I just wondered why the other person has said it does 45mph is this because of a reason ?.

Good Scooter. The Bike Does About 45mph Tops. It
Good scooter. The bike does about 45mph tops. It is sturdy enough and actually quite bulky for a 50cc. My only gripe is that it usually prefers to be kicked over when starting from completely cold but it runs fine and is very economical. £10 or so will completely fill your tank from empty and it doesn't guzzle 2 stroke oil either, a bottle will last ages. I've done 430 miles from new and no major problems so far. I did respray the exhaust with black high temp paint as the original paint began to flake but there was no serious rust. Otherwise a reliable fun run around. My previous bike was a Yamaha jog, and in honesty I found it a better faster scoot than the vivacity, but I ran it in Australia for a year so the weather was always perfect for it. The UK rain and snow, the vivacity has been in the shed most of the time. Great bike when new, not sure about 2nd hand or hard used vivacity how they fare but I guess you could do a lot worse.

Must Have Got A Lucky One
My sister Brought a 2003 model as a run around for £400.. Unfortunately she was ripped off as the seller had bodged the bike to work for a short period. Problems with the auto choke and starter (cleaned carb fixed this) and crankshaft starter tooth.
She got fed up and didn't want to wait days for parts to arrive.
She got a new model instead.
Paid £100 for it.
£20 quid on parts.
A year and a half later. put 3,000 miles on it last summer!!! and worked flawlessly in the winter on the odd occasion I kept it running.
Has not let me down once :)
Baring in mind one of the previous owners last serviced it in 2008/2009
with 25,000 miles now on it. I have treated it to a new technigas silent exhaust, new reeds, new piston, new gaskets all round, high quality fuel & oil lines, rollers, belt and a complete carb strip down and clean along with respray (work carried out by me). She will be ready for her next MOT :) for the sake of £200 being spent for a few more summers can't complain. Cracking little bike!!!
They need a bit of tlc that's all
Cheap to run compared to my Audi RS6!! and more enjoyable in traffic where you are forced to sit in a car not moving.
70+ mpg flatout at a whole whopping stomach turning 30-35 mph.

Do Not Buy Absolute Terrible
Bought this scooter for my wife a year ago and it's absolutely terrible for ONE SIMPLE REASON: The starter
Bought new battery, and fully drained it. Kicked it like hell it simply doesn't start. It's always been a constant problem. Winter are worse but now is summer and still not working. I have a couple of mates who bought it as well and they have the same problem. Sometime taking 20 minutes kicking before it starts when you're lucky.
Stay away from this 'merde' however cheap you get can it.

My First Scooter And I Love It!
I absolutely love my Vivacity. I've been using it for getting around town for 2 months now and I can't understand how I ever managed without it!
I don't have much experience of scooters (a few rentals on holiday in Spain prior to this), but I would say that it's pretty nippy and very very comfy. There's bags of room under the seat too which will take my whole weekly shop with room for more.
I'm sure that there probably better/quicker bikes out there, but for a novice like me this is the perfect machine (oh, and the insurance is next to nothing!).
Overall, I'm very happy - wish I do it years ago!

Peugeot Vivacity 50cc Moped Oil?
Hello,
i have recently just purchsed a vivacity 50cc moped (2003). i baught it for £400 and it runs really well. i havent filled it up with fuel yet as ive only baught it recently. it has a seperate fuel and oil place but the oil looks like it could be 2 stroke oil. it smokes alot more than others. (could be because its old?) email me ([email protected]) if you know anything like if its 4 stroke or 2 stroke. thanks

Not So Helpful Peugeot Office
had new moped for two months and the exhaust blow.took 5 days to get new part, got it fitted and within a fortnight it went again, this time they tied it with a plastic tie and it is still holding at the moment.Next thing that went was the plastic below where you put your feet, started to crack.Got in touch with Peugeot in Madrid and they were totally unhelpful saying it was my fault, which I know that it was not as I am of the older generation .Would not recommend this bike at all.
