Great Little Bike Good For The Money Great For Fir

great little bike good for the money great for first time riders ive had no problems with it i cant see why all the comments degrade it if they have brought it from new like i have then i cant see why they keep having problems. There are two compartments one under the seat (for your helmet)and a glove compartment at the front although the glove compartment is pretty flimsy it is cheap to run and easy to ride ive got 55mph out of it but i am quite a small build and the de-ristricters have been taken of although my dad got 40mph out of it and he is a bigger build than me.

what a terrable bike , i bought mine of ebay for 150 pound, to be honest it is a shocking bike, the brakes are rubbish, the build quality is terrable, the worst thing is the speed up inclines it almost stops, its not even worth insuraing as the insurance would cost more than the bike, NEVER GET ONE ! i sold mine on in the first month of having it, naw i have a vespa piaggio nrg and what a diffrence of quality :) !

Hi All,i Have Recently Purchased One Of

Hi all,I have recently purchased one of these Taishan Commuter 49cc it's on an 04 plate, actually not a bad little bike if I am honest, though I will admit, alot of whats been said in this review is true, the build quality is not that great if I am truthful and it does sound awful when its running, certainly does make people stare at you at the lights. The maximum speed with wind behind you is at best 35mph, and it has a bad habit of slowing down almost to a complete stop on inclines, the brakes as I know have already been spoken about many times here are literally next door to useless, and as I have found out the hard way the fuel gauge is inaccurate, once it drops to just lower than half tank, what it really means is your literally almost out.Good thing is that it's ridiculously cheap on fuel, it will literally and this is no joke struggle to hold even £3 of fuel, I use my everday travelling about 60 miles per day, and I have to confess it so far (touch wood) has been reliable, though I have noticed the exhaust is literally disintigrating, and it's now cost me £51 for a replacemt, that's minus the £40 installation charge.Anyway I actually wanted to help alot of you guys and girls out, I have noticed that in previous reviews people struggle for parts, well NO longer. Here is a link to a website, based in the UK who deal with parts for Taishans and so on, I have only just ordered my new exhaust from them.Take a look, Im sure you will be thanking me for pointing this out;http://www.xinlingworld.com/default.asp

Baja Scooters Seems Like A Pretty Good Scooters Fo

Baja scooters seems like a pretty good scooters for very nice price, until they break down. Basically those are single use scooters. First couple of months were great, the scooter was pretty zippy and fast ( especially when you put more air in the tires, use premium gas, and synthetic oil) - mine went over 40 mph couple of times, although i had a wind helping me go forward. I used to ride it everyday to work - around 10 miles one way, and i used it during the weekends because it much faster to get around town than using a car. I was really enjoying it, then out of the blue the scooter wouldn't start. I quickly learned that PEP Boys DO NOT provide the warranty or any other service for this scooter. If something brakes you will have to contact Baja Motorsport directly. They will try do do anything to avoid taking it back. For starters be prepared to spend 2 days waiting on hold, listening some BS message how great Baja service and support is from Patagonia to Northern Canada. I'm not trying to exaggerate. Once i was on hold continuously for three hours. I think they have only one guy answering all the calls because every time i managed to finally get connected, it was always the same person. They are not happy to hear about warranty repairs. They will keep stalling, ordering, backordering parts, calling you back, i mean NOT calling you back until you will give up. I was told by the service guy that if i need parts i should go to partsforscooters.com - this is where they get their parts too. Nice. I advise you to do the same, skip a middleman, plus they responded for my inquiry through an email pretty fast.I went on fixing the scooter myself. Once you unscrew any kind of screw, there is a great chance you wont be able to screw it back again. Half of them snapped, on the other half the thread got worn out - they fell out themselves. All rubber seals are so thin and fragile, i advise you not to lift them. My fix was pretty simple, just faulty electrical connector, never-less i had to take apart almost every plastic part of the body and some other components. Be prepared that any simple repair even changing the spark plug requires taking almost half of the scooter apart. It's an engineering nightmare. All the wires are just "hanging" in there, some of them are just taped with electrical tape instead of using proper connectors. Screws are so soft you can bend them in your hands. Oh well, you get what you pay for. For $800 you can't expect much now days.My advise is: don't buy this scooter. I know, the price is tempting, but keep it mind that year later it will be worth like $200, if you'll be lucky enough that it's still running. I would say, save some money or get a loan and get honda, yamaha or vespa. The resale value on those scooters is great and they are build to last. On top of that they have much better service, and its much easier to get parts.

The Taishan Commuter Is Not A Bad Scooter, Excelle

The Taishan Commuter is not a bad scooter, excellent value for money in my case but would not recommend paying more than £400 for one. Very slow moped needs to be de-restricted, looks pretty good and I have found it really reliable.
