Neos 100
Hi all i recently purchased a neos, the 03 model, its a comftable ride and has enough space under the seat to store a crash helmet which is very handy,it accelerates well and you often out do many cars off the lights,i was lucky enough to purchase the bike with low milage it only had 800 on the clock and would do about 55mph but now it has nearly 2000 on the clock and it climbs up to 60 mph why im not sure it can only be because the engine has beded in a bit and its been well looked after,as someone else just said using a good quality 2 stroke oil is important. Overall a good bike, reliable, fast enough, and cheap to run.

Okay, so I own a 52 plate yamaha yn 100 neos. The bike is reliable and always starts first time. It's a comfortable ride and doesn't cause discomfort on longer journeys. As far as performance goes it's not too bad, it will accelerate away from lights quite quickly and can keep with most traffic. Despite what some people on here are stating the top speed is around 50-55mph (not 75 like some daydreamers believe, its a scooter remember!). The only problem i have is that it leaks transmission oil from a small rubber tube that comes from the top of the engine casing, meaning i have to regularly top it up. Does anybody have any idea what may be causing this leak?
P.S It pays to use good quality two stroke oil, when i first got the bike about a month ago i used castrol syntec oil. During this period the top speed was about 55mph. Since then I have had to use asda two stroke oil because its cheap in all honesty! But the top speed has now dropped to just under 50mph and I can't see that any other factor could be causing this drop in power. In future I intend to use castrol power protection oil which is expensive but it keeps the bike's engine happy and more powerful :)
how fast does it go up hill ?

Hi, I have purchased a neos 100 it had not been registered so it is on a 09 plate, Nice little bike all round, but as far as top speed goes it will do about 50-53mph max which if using on "A"road it does not really keep with the traffic so all the lorry's go past you (not good) I have tried putting slightly heavier rollers in but not to much difference, does anybody have any ideas on mayby getting the top speed to about 60 without spending loads of money?

I've Now Owned A Yamaha Neo 100 For 4 Month And It
I've now owned a Yamaha neo 100 for 4 month and it is serving its purpose. I had an aprilia sr 50 in the past and the sr was a much better ride and derestricted it had a higher top speed. The Neo's top speed, despite what people on here have been quoting, is around about 55 mph as standard. It's only a 100 remember. Acceleration wise, this scooter is quite good. Comfort? well its not too comfy but its ok. This may however be because i find the scooter riding position a little uncomfortable compare to that of motorcycles. Ive only had one problem with this scooter and that was the exhaust fell off, spoke to a friend who also owns one and he said he had the same problem.

I Find This To Be A Great Scooter! Very Comfortabl
I find this to be a great scooter! Very comfortable, a good ride got me up and down to Co. Kerry twice! Very fast for what it is (mine is faster than a 125cc motorbike with gears) it will go off the clock (over 60mph) and gets faster after that. Steering is very responsive. I ' d recommend it to anybody starting off.
mine wont go over 45 mph how can i sort that
