Got Ripped Off

I ordered a camera in November, they sent me the wrong camera...even changed the reciept to match the switch but thankfully I still had an old email. They acknowledge the error and asked that return the camera with a promise of shipping the correct model. I have called them over and over for the last 6mths and now feel like I have been lied to the entire time. I have not received my camera or refund for the shipping as promised. I tried to call again this week and their phone number is no longer worker nor is their website. Can anyone offer any help/suggestions for what to do?? I was replacing a camera that was stolen from me and now officially feel I've been ripped off twice.

Don't Buy From These People !!

I ordered a Tamron lens to be sent to my daughter as a gift. When it did not arrive in the time I was told it would, I called the company. There was so much background noise, I could hardly communicate. I was told I had ordered the "wrong lens", though no one told me that when I placed the order. So they offered to send the correct lens. What they sent was worth - on Amazon - about $100 less than the lens I had ordered. They don't take returns - only exhanges. I spent so much time on the phone with the advisor, who is very rude, and ended up with a lens that stopped working within three months of purchase. In the meantime, there were numerous conversations with my credit card company and the Oregon Dept of Justice. I believe this company had changed it name since I ordered from them, which I am told is a common practice. In the future I will order only from well know sites.

I Purchased A Camera Nikon D600 On October 29th On

I purchased a camera Nikon D600 On October 29th on Digital Depot online website. the next day, they called me and said the the one that I purchased was a Japanese text and if I want a English text i need to upgrade which is $1000.00 higher than the one I purchased. I told them no and they need to hold on to my order and I need to talk to my husband first because he was the one who want to camera. I talked to them at 12:30 pm and at 4:30, I checked my bank account and they already charged me 3 transations. I was so angry. So I called them and asked why they charged me for all these and what they are charged me for. They told me the $1499.99 is for the camera, $500.00 is for the charger and 499.99 is for the battery but I only ordered the camera. I told them that I want to canceled my order since they havent ship it yet. They said okay, they will refund my money back to me within 15 business days but it been 6 months now and I still waiting for my refunds. Everytime I called them, they were said I need to wait 15 days. And I liked, I been waiting for almost 6months now. They told me to call their billing department ext:100 which I did. When they answered me this guy which is the same guy that I talked to before but he acted like he know nothing about anything. So, I have to explain everything for him again in a very patient way. He asked me to give him my phone # for him and he will have somebody for their billing department call me, but I never receipt any call for them. I called them again a couple weeks later. Guess who answer, the same guy. I asked him again and he told me to email their billing department because they only availiable by email only. I email them but I heard nothing back. I am so frustrated and tires of everything to the point, when I ready to hire a lawyer and files a law suit against them.

This Company Must Be Shut Down!

This is the best known company for stealing money, selling gray market products, being extremely rude to the customers and so on...

Just think why they don't have the address on the web site, only phone number? Why the phone number in CA and company is in NY and this address not exist too? I can tell you a lot of other things about this company and non of them will be good. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY unless you are not appreciate your money and like to be abused.This company must be shut down!

Digital Depots Warranty And Bond.

About 3 years ago I purchased a SIGMA 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS lens which was attached to my Canon 7D body. For an average photographer of wild-life the performance combination is brilliant and sometimes stunning depending on operating conditions.

To cut a long story short after about 2½ years the SIGMA wouldn’t focus properly for NO apparent reason. I took it back to Digital Depot (DD) on Stevenage old town high street. To be honest we were all surprised and DD sent it back to SIGMA who allegedly repaired the defective lens. Over the next 10-12 months it went back to SIGMA a further two times and may I say not at my expense. DD lent me a brand new lens even though the defect wasn’t their fault and it wasn’t down to DD to provide a substitute. Two weeks ago I took it back again because it was still playing up after being repaired at SIGMA and the shop Manager (Director) simply said ‘enough-is-enough’ give me a few days and I’ll get you a brand new one ‘off-of –his-own-bat’. This I now have and it works beautifully.

I would like to thank Digital depot and all there staff that I dealt with regarding the above, there ‘after-care’ is second to none and they’re all willing to help. Thanks Digital Depot all the best for the future,

Tried To Buy A Nikon D800

"Horrible experience, I called up they told me they had a Nikon D800 in stock, so I decided I could pay a little extra to get as no one else had it....Oh Huge mistake, it was supposed to be delivered 6/12/12, I called up to check on it 6/8/12 and I get it will be there by the end of next week, it is shipping from Japan. Well I live in the US, so to me Japan is not 'in stock'. I called back a second time the same day, got Jonathon, he says it's not being sent until 6/27/12, I tell him I want to cancel, he passes me on to a supervisor, who says he's going to charge me a 20% restocking fee, I said no and he said I couldn't cancel or get a refund. I disputed the charge with my CC company and emailed digitaldepotonline that I was disputing the charge, calling the Attny Generals of NY and CA, calling the agency that deals with fraudulent advertising, contacting both BBB's in CA (phone number is from there) and NY (billing is from here) and then hit every place I could online to write a review. So here I am, finally did get a refund, but I am hoping to save someone else the trouble. In addition, their low prices are because they remove all the stuff Nikon sends with the camera, like the battery, strap, charger, etc and then try to get to buy them at ridiculous prices, like 3-4 the regular price, then add to that the insurance/shipping charge of 289.00. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!"

I had posted this review on another site also, one min after I hit post, the phone rang, it was digitaldepot and they started threatening me, saying they were going to send me to collections. Now get this, I never got the merchandise, I told them to go hang themselves, that they couldn't do that. They said they'd send me to collections for the 20 percent restocking fee, I told them to go ahead, as they didn't have the item in stock when they said they did. They said it was in stock, in their warehouse in Japan. I told them if that were true, I should have received the thing on the date they said I'd receive it, not be still waiting 2 months later. They said they were recording the conversation and would use it, I said good, when you let people listen to this as proof, they'll see how you threaten people.So they tried another tactic, they tried to bribe me, they'd send me free stuff worth "hundreds of dollars", offered two CF cards (I checked their site, they are listing 32 g CF cards (off brand) at almost $500, Amazon's price for Sandisk is under 100.00. Now they would send this out if I just changed my rating from bad to good.

So you decide....do you really want to do business with this company?

One of the worst vendor in the market. You will never get the price that you agreed on. Customer services are patronizing and inpatient. Numerous penalties and stipulation makes it impossible for you to say no to anything without paying stiff price either up front or later. Much prefer to pay the hugh penalty for nothing than having to deal either those people again. Feel free to order from them if you are looking for rip off or simply a glutton for punishment

The UK retail is very good and has just won an award for great service.

Purchase Of Canon 100-400

Ordered 2/27/2012, charged my CC 3/4/2012, no tracking number on my account just said "in shipping", called today and they said deliver per tracking number is the 20th. If I get it by the 20th it will have taken 17 working days from date of order. After ordering, found out they quoted and sold to me at a price higher than they had listed on the internet store.I do not like the amount of time between charging my credit card and receiving the product especially with no tracking number.
