Shocking Service .. Will Never Use Again
I have ordered twice from Karlu and both times the order was not done correctly. I ordered a Colorama to be delivered today , I even checked this am that it was def ordered and being delivered today. So I rang at 4 pm to see why it had not been delivered after checking apparently the order had not been sent . I have a shoot tomorrow that I needed it for. So... No real apology ... This is second time this has happened with Karlu. Needless to say they will not have my custom again EVER. Go elsewhere is my advice.

Terrible, Unprofessional Service
Wednesday pm: phoned Karlu to ask if product could be delivered before weekend; yes, but hey promise to have it to me by Friday morning (I had booked a shoot at the weekend and needed specific colour). Friday late pm: receive text saying product would be delivered on Monday. Phoned them to complain about broken promise. Apologetic, but more sensitive to their own position with a lot of orders to process than trying to help the customer. Where to find a background on Friday night? Karlu: are w bothered????

Big Interest Selling, No Interest In Customer Service
Karlu Photographic is a company interested in sales only. If, like me, you run into problems with equipment purchased, they have little or no interested in after sales service. They will spend time trying to find flaws with your complaint and one way or another will send you back to the manufacturer of the goods directly rather than take responsibility themselves. Indeed, be prepared for an abundance of cynicism, sarcasm and a complete lack of interest/empathy in any issue you may have with goods they sell to you. I have given them their third and last chance. Shop elsewhere, you have been warned!

Socket To Me...
.... one Manfrotto 014-14 stand adapter socket to complement custom-made softbox/boom adapter. Smooth order process, swift despatch, the usual Royal Mail "Oh, it'll get here eventually" delivery and one perfect product. Works as anticipated (otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it in the first place), what more is there to say?

I was not sure that the items I wanted to order were compatable with each other, so the lady I spoke to checked it out for me to make sure I got what I needed was right for the job. The items were delivered the next day. Perfect!!! I have since used this company again.

Get What You Pay For!
I recently bought some modelling lamps through Karlu. After claiming CE certification on their adverts it seemed to me that they were not certified on arrival, so I asked them about it and returned the items.
However, I have never had the misfortune to deal with such an aggressive and unpleasant company before and after complaint to PayPal, PayPal found in my favour and refunded the costs. Karlu stated they were CE certified but they were not able to give the details confirming this. They threatened to take me court if I stated their lamps were not CE so have lodged a complaint with trading standards and look forward to further discussion.
What amazes me even more than the appalling customer service is the level of stunning positive feedback on this site, almost too good to be true! Maybe I just dealt with them on a really really bad day?
