Poor Quality Control

Got the laptop 4 days late due to cheap unreliable couriers, lost time at work waiting for it. Back up discs where missing and the computer kept crashing. When they arrived had to repair OS to fix crashing (not not so often) screen digitizer programme and drivers not installed had to locate on web an do it myself. Then power supply stopped working had to buy my own as it was cheaper and quicker than posting it to them and waiting for a repair. Rear usb not working, no response from customer services. Dell Xps 1730 - Scrap

I was looking to purchase a good value laptop, and I came across NDC. The laptop was purchased and delivered with no issues

After 5 months the laptop refused to boot. I sent it away at my expense, despite the Sales of Goods Act in the UK stating "If there is an obvious fault with the item at any time within the first 6 months... In the first instance and if considered appropriate, the seller must offer to at least repair the goods. They must do this within reasonable time, at no additional cost to you and without causing any significant inconvenience."

After receiving it back, the "gaming" laptop refused to play 3D games. I sent it away again at my expense. There was a long delay in receiving it back, but when it did it was severely damaged. Cracked screen and a corner had been ground away, as though dragged. NDC had failed to pack it properly, according to Australia Post. I was then without a laptop for another 3 months while NDC avoided my emails and gave me dismissive replies from phone calls.

The laptop came back, after much running around from my side, and it still refuses to play 3D games without crashing.

NDC advertises in their eBay adverts and on their website that they are a Dell Registered Partner. I asked NDC to provide some substantiating proof of this, and they did not address this either. I also spoke with Dell's Support service as to whether NDC are part of their Partners network, and Dell could not confirm that NDC was a registered partner by searching their Partner database.

Despite their negligence, NDC refused to extend the warranty. They also promised me a replacement device initially, but then opted to repair my existing heap of junk.

In short, my experience has been incredibly bad.

Refurbished Alienware M17x Laptop Bought From Ndc.co.uk

I stumbled across NDC whilst looking for an Alienware Laptop. I was initially looking to buy a new one but upon comparing prices I decided to buy a refurbished one and get more for my money.

I purchased a high spec one for almost £1500. Having never bought a refurbished laptop before (especially such an expensive one) I didn't know what to expect and kept having nightmares of receiveing tattered boxes and scratched items.

It arrived two days after I ordered it with FedEx and I had to be at home to sign for it. Upon unwrapping I was pleasantly surprised to find an original box. I was a little dissapointed I didnt receive the cap and and the T-shirt you get when you buy a new one (I had been informed i wouldnt get this but it didnt stop me hoping!) however the actual laptop itself more than made up for it.

The condition was as new, no scratches, no wear on the keyboard, no screenburn. In fact the protective plastic was still on the screen.

I didnt receive any manuals but was informed on the laptop that these were available online and they hadnt been printed off to save paper, doing their bit for the Greener Environment! The recovery CD's were present though.

I have been using the laptop every day for over a month now for everything from writing emails to hardcore gaming and have been more than impressed. I still cant beleieve I managed to get such a gem, a maxxed out alienware for little more than what a basic spec would have cost new. Bravo NDC! Keep up the good work!
