Definitely A Sleeper Camera. Owning It...i Had A C
Definitely a sleeper camera. Owning it...I had a couple of laughs and teases from other photographers but I don't really care since I rather settle for 36 great pictures than spray and pray that most of the cameras teaches nowadays. I am not going to sugar coat the shutter noise but it is loud for street photography.
What I like about the camera:
-It's fully manual so you can't blame the camera for not making the shot.
-I got it from eBay for $50 Dollars with Yashica lenses which is great to start off with.
-You can use Carl Zeiss Lenses which you can later on buy and the value still appreciates every year...so it's a nice investment. Also you can use and adapter for Canon Digital cameras
-It's simple to use and it doesn't need any batteries to operate
-I have used it in remote places with no electricity like the Philippines and Thailand, took a beating and it still works.
It's definitely a bang for the buck since it's very reliable for the travel photography that I do.

I Bought The Yashica Fx 3 Super 2000 Camera In 199
I bought the Yashica FX 3 Super 2000 camera in 1990 and loved it a lot, 7 years later I trade it in with a Canon EOS 50 (known as Elan 7 in north America) after so many years I missed my mighty Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 and was looking for it in Ebay and finally in 2008 found it! What a catch it was just like brand new! And I just paid 15 $ for the body and later found 3 lenses for 40 $, I am so glad for this reunion, this is a lovely film camera and over the years captured very perfect pictures. I recommend it for photographers who just have started this amazing art, this a camera that does not turn you down. Reliable, beautiful pictures, very simple

Have Had Fx3 Super For 10 Years Now. It Is An Exc
Have had FX3 Super for 10 years now. It is an excellent manual camera, has never stopped working for me. This camera uses Contax lenses which is an advantage. It is all-manual mechanical camera and does not have high shutter speeds, autowinder, or other features, but it works well for taking pictures. Metering is very accurate and works with all lenses identically. If you are willing to set shutter speed/aperture yourself this is a fine camera to use.

I Like This Body - It Is A Fully Mechanical Camera
I like this body - it is a fully mechanical camera, small and retro, but in a world of goliath SLRs bristling with knobs and wheels, it takes you straight to where the action is - in front of the lens.

The Last Of The Simple Manual Focus Mechanical Yas
The last of the simple manual focus mechanical Yashica SLRs, the Yashica FX-3 and FX-3 Super are simple, durable and reliable cameras - I've seen only one lock up and have owned several. They put up with dust and grit better than most SLRs and have an excellent mechanical metal shutter. The Super-2000 was the last version with 1/2000 shutter speed and commands a better price. But, look out!! Towards the end production was shifted to China (see the bottom plate for country of production), where the camera nameplate was shifted to a much cheaper version. Avoid these like the plague, as they are plagued with mirror vibration, dim viewfinders and easily cracked plastic top plates.

The Yashica Fx 3 Super 2000 Is A Great Camera As P
The Yashica FX 3 Super 2000 is a great camera as performance to price ratio is concernd. Rugged mechanical construction. I used Nikon and Canon AF SLRs but prformance of FX3 is superior in all the conditions (too humid, hot or cols places) where Canon500n and Nikon F50 were down.
This is the cheapest camera that handles the most expensive Ziess lens to most cheap lenses.
I have been using this camera for the past 8 years without any complaints. I give maximum rating for this little cute camera.
