I Have Put Up With My Old Crt 17" Monitor For Long

I have put up with my old CRT 17" monitor for long enough! It was time for a change. I had the feeling that my hours of online gaming (BF1942 DCX) and the radiation from that old monitor were beginning to detach my retina's, so it was time to change to an LCD/TFT unit. I thought this was going to be easy; after all I knew exactly what I wanted. Most importantly was more space on my desktop, a bigger screen area, and a fast response time with good picture quality.

I'm probably not the only person to have noticed this, but if you listen to the spotty suited sales persons at your local megastores, they will tell you "you can't have this without spending lot's of your hard earned cash". Well, I can tell you now, that if you listen to any of them, then you're just another misguided fool!

I've just shelled out £135 for a 19" widescreen LCD monitor that will quite literally blow your socks off! It's fast, it's bright, and so easy to set up. XP and my ATI software did it for me!!

The Hanns.G HW191D comes with its own driver CD, and the instruction booklet. It has DVI and analogue inputs, and it has the ability to run with both connected, so you can choose!! I've spent 3 weeks travelling around all the major retailers and computer stores before making this choice, and I can honestly tell you that if I had seen this monitor on the shelf with a £400 price tag I would not have been surprised. Don't be put off by the unknown name. I saw it on my mates PC, and he directed me to Dabs.com, and I'm glad he did. So if it's time to change and you only have £150, this is definitely the monitor for you!

Only one word of warning -- the speakers that are built-in to the monitor are pants; OK for business use, but if you are a gamer or use your PC for multimedia, you will probably have your own speaker system anyway.
