The tray above the burner let's the meat slide off if you close the lid, and the charcoal tray is far to close to the grid,

This BBQ is a rip off, has a massive flaw in it's design where the center area does not heat up at all.
DO NOT BUY THIS OR YOU WOULD REGRET IT!

outback are allowing the sale of this particular model even though they are fully aware that there is a problem with the placement of the 2 burners. the burners are so wide apart it dosn't allow the centre 1/3 of the grilling area to heat therefore the cooking surface is greatly reduced.
I am totally surprised that outback have not even informed their retail outlets of this problem. Its only because my complaint to the retailer that we were informed of this situation. I have tried to return this bbq but outback have a policy that it can not be returned if it has been used. I have only used it once thats when I discovered the problem.Would I recommend this particular model - deffinately NO.
I agree. I am extremely disappointed with this BBQ - the center stays completely cold, only the area right above the burners heats up. This BBQ is completely non functional, a complete rip off for the price you pay.
This review accurately reflects my experience I only wish I'd read it before I spent my money
