Baumatic BR22/8A

Hadn't heard of the brand before buying, but the styling looked good and it was middle of the range price wise. I've never had problems with other brands even in their later life than I had almost immediately experienced with baumatic. Plastic shelves break off from their door attachments, seals fall off and are poorly fitting. Fridge door fell off. Only a few years old but I am going to ditch it - complete waste of money. Zero durability.

Don't waste your money. Drawer fronts can't cope with being cold, replaced them all @ £80, new top door liner @ £120 and they all need replacing again, after just months of use. Ice build up in the freezer is the worst I've ever known. It slowly builds up ice on the back wall of the fridge then just defrosts all over your food. Seals on both units are poor. Going online to find a replacement, can't wait to see the back of it, just dreadful.

within 1 year the plastic supports holding my shelves in place have broken. I used 1 at a time, which means a shelf will only last 6 months. my fantastic 5 year guarentee does not cove this so i have to pay £20 + P&P and have to replace everything rather than the plastic broken support!!!!!. all i want is replacements of the plastic supports. £20 + P&P every 6 month or a new fridge freeze.

HAD THIS FRIDGE FOR SOME YEARS AND A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO IT CAUGHT FIRE IN MY KITCHEN, LUCKLY ALL THE FAMILY WAS OUT. WE WERE GONE FOR AROUND 30 MINUTES WHEN I RETURNED THE FIRE BRIGADE WAS IN MY HOUSE IN THE KITCHEN. LATER THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE FRIDGE THAT CAUSED IT.

NOT 100% SURE IF IT WAS THIS MODEL CAUSE EVERYTHING GOT BURNT BUT WAS THERE FRIDGEFREEZER.

This is without doubt the worst appliance I have ever purchased. An engineer called five different times and ended up changing it for a new unit. Exactly the same problem, just kept freezing solid at the back of the fridge. Finally had enough and insisted they come and remove it and give me a full refund. They have today removed the item and now all I need is my money back!! Time will tell. Whatever you do, NEVER by baumatic they are utterly useless. The people that came to pick it up said none of their own workers will buy an appliance from them. Say no more.

Every single shelf has broken in my fridge as the plastic supports do not hold the glass shelf securely if you want to place any more than a couple of yoghurts on a single shelf. My initial delight at the stylish design has been relaced with exasperation as I now have to use jars on the bottom glass shelf to prop up the shelf above as it appears to be impossible to find replacement shelves.

If you don't cook and just want to keep a pack of butter and a lemon in your fridge..go for it! If however you want be able to store chilled goods from your weekly shop don't bother!

By far the worst fridge I have ever owned. The fridge light only worked for about 2 weeks and its not an integral part of a fridge, as I was told by Baumatic staff, so its not covered under any of the warantee but its pretty annoying not to have a light in your fridge. The plastic boxes in the fridge and freezer are flimsy and have all split and finally my fridge has given up completely and just doesn't work. I can't even face calling Baumatic for repairs despite it being under warantee, I would rather buy another brand and have a fridge that works!

Bottle shelf needed replacing 3 times (at my expense)-never experienced with any other make. Plastics crack due to cold. Top door tray snapped.Constantly defrosted creating a pool of the water in the salad trays. Temp adjust easy to knock resulting in frozen items. Now ditched it for a Neff integrated fridge. DO NOT BUY BAUMATIC. THEY ARE CRAPE and have no belief in customer service. Baumatic NEVER again ( I also bought a dishwasher from them-even worse. If I can dissuade you from buying Baumatic then I will at least have some recompense. I hope they go bust-they deserve to.

Baumatic service is awful! Our freezer hasn't worked properly for 6 months. First of they send the wrong parts. Then they can't get the parts.

Service engineer was a nightmare making excuses. Service centre is pathetic. No one seems capable of making proper customer service decisions.

Shocking service. Stay away. M33 3DZ.

baumatic B22/8A FRIDGE FREEZER .

Quality of the plastic shelves and basket fronts is very poor all of them have cracked or broken and are either very difficult to obtain or extremely expensive to replace.and the baumatic customer advice team just ignore my emails.
