Certina DS Pro Titanium

Really Beautiful Watch. And its feature was also good.

Bought a Certina DS Pro Titanium in 2002. It has been a gem and still is !. Thin and light to wear. Battery changed 2-3 times (don't remember) and absolutely no mechanical or electrical problems what-so-ever. I do pretty tough off-piste skiing during winter and offroad biking during summer. The watch never leaves my wrist, showering or bading. I have ripped the strap off a number of times, smashed the watch towards trees (skiing), rocks (biking) and once even run over it with my 1800 kg car. Even the original glass is still there, without a mark. The titanium casing is starting wearing down, showing the use and abuse but I'm sure it will still work for another 10 years !

This watch is my "best friend".

I have had the DS PRO for some years now. In the first years the clockwork failed and had to be replaced, but the workshop insisted on a couple of new batteries first. Later the watch strap suddenly and unexpected broke and had to be replaced.

Negative: Poor production quality

Positive: Seems to work now. Still looking quite nice after hard use.

I would look for another brand next time.

somebody gave me a certina watch purchased in makati.he told me it is a very good one because of its high quality.i read the manual book stating the battery will last up to 10 yrs.sad to say,the battery shut down after 6 months..the leather strap easily got look old and dirty even how much i took care of it.

I bougt it in nov 2003. Today it just stopped working! The second hand is hacking on the same sekond. The dealer says that the watch's lifetime has ended! He also says: "They usually don't last for more than 6-8 years!" I think this is really bad of a brand like Certina! I'll never moore buy or recommnd a Certina!

Have really enjoyed wearing this watch. Its comfortable due to design and material (the stainless steel version feels like a dumbbell on your wrist). I was very put off by the bezel falling off two different time pieces to begin with but since overcoming that hurdle this watch has performed excellently. I'd say test the watch at the store THOROUGHLY before purchasing it and if it passes the test buy it.

I would buy another Certina watch because they are priced really low right now and the quality has gone way way up compared to the other review and it is financed by the swatch group and is a sponsor in formula 1 so they have the money to have increased that quality and is making a move on the market. I believe this product will appreciate.

It is somewhat cheaper than other high end watches. It got scratched in only two days. It is not very famous like Radio or Rolex. I would not recommend this to use often, better for a 2nd watch

I have owned 2 Certina watches. Both have been bad. One of them I even had to change for a new one. Certina just make bad watches for a high price. My watches have cost 300-370£, and that's really too much. Buy a very uncomplicated Certina watch, or select another brand, like Rolex or Casio.

Remember it's heavy for you to go back to the store all the time to use the guarantee.
