Had My Premier Apk Since 1984 , Its Been The Most
Had my Premier APK since 1984 , its been the most powerfull kit ive ever played .people can get sucked in to believing that expensive kits [i.e dw or top range yamz] can some how make you a better player/ this is obviosly not true.stick with them and they will prove to be a good relieble work horse for the working or practising drummer. In general a great mid range kit and with a bit of t. l. c can provide many years of good sevice/ like mine has to me. Bin factory skins at once/ premier make great kits full stop....avoid all other products. a bit prone to over tone/ this is where we learn tuning skills/ so mabe not such a bad piont after all.

The Premier Apk Drum Kit Has A Nice Finish And Stu
The Premier APK drum kit has a nice finish and sturdy. Once the bearing edges are machined they sound great! good middle of the road value for money drums. Bearing edges and out of round toms on most kits, on the models that are painted black inside

Ive Never Really Been Keen On Premier (due To Them
Ive never really been keen on premier (due to them not necesarily being as popular as kits such as tama, which was a mistake), however, they are very good and reliable kits and can sing like hell. Strong enough for gigging and stylish enough to get you another one. Generally an all round great starter to intermediate/cheap semi-pro kit and at a bargain price.

I've Had These For Something Like 17 Years. They'v
I've had these for something like 17 years. They've been all over the place gigging and they still look and play like new. They are much louder than my old Slingerland kits. The tone is a bit darker and the tuning stability is much better in comparison to the Slingy's.

My Set Has Seen A Number Of, (and A Range Of), Rec
My set has seen a number of, (and a range of), recording studios and has even found time on a local radio station back in 1990. This set played great on stage and recorded mostly well, except for some strange unidentifiable hardware noise the first time around. Other than that, I have always been pleased with getting the kind of sound that garnered not-too-infrequent compliments!
I owned an APK and XPK kit. The toms on both kits had uneven bearing edges so if you put them against a sheet of glass there were gaps! Shocking workmanship as opposed to the earlier kits. The XPK's were made of mahogany (Indonesian) and the treating in the wood made them warp so you had to force the heads on! This is because they steamad the veneer finish on to the shell. The APK shells were baswood and were perfectly round. Once i machined the bearing edges on these they sounded ok not enough punch though, shells are too thin and when they were machined the metal staples were left in!

I Would 100 % Recommend A Premier Apk To Anybody O
I would 100 % recommend a Premier APK to anybody out there as they are great in sound and reliable.Very versatile, hardwearing, great sounding kit. I've had mine for 12 years and it has never let me down. A perfect kit for beginners to intermediate. I currently use mine on tour around theatres all over the UK and it produces great results.
