Don't Use!

I initially took out an add to put my property on this site for free, However, they kept chaisng me & made it sound that you do need a premium account to be successful! I purchased the premium silver add Sept 2014.I tried to edit my account and it would not let me, I can't call them as (NO PHONE NUMBER TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE), I paid £89.99 for my advert. I have an add on Gumtree, this is a free add, I have had 22 views. House ladder state that they advertise on loads of other sites on our behalf i.e WELL I'D LIKE TO BE ABLE TO FIND MY HOUSE LISTED ON THESE OTHER SITES.

I would not recommend using this company whatsoever, I only wish I had reviewed this site before paying.

Houseladder Take Your Money Offering A Better Service!!!

I initially took out an add to put my property on this site. However, they make it sound that you do need a premium account to be successful! So on the same day I purchased the premium silver add. (1 month, 3 months free). That was nov 9th 2013. On Monday 9th Dec I tried to edit my account and it would not let me. I emailed the site (NO PHONE NUMBER TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE). They emailed me back the next day prompting me to go through the details of my house again! Thinking I was doing the right thing I continued with this. Now I have a different add which is not premium and it still will not let me go to my original add to edit the same!! I have emailed them again this morn (Thurs 12th Dec) giving my telephone numbers and asking them to get in touch with me as a matter of urgency. I am still waiting a call. I have emailed them again today, but still no reply. I paid £69.99 on the 9th Nov and I have not had one view of my property. I have an add on Gumtree, this is a free add, I have had 27 views and I have sold items on Gumtree all my adds have been free!!!!

Complete Waste Of Time And Money

We paid for 12 months costing £120.00. This has just expired. In all that time we did not have one enquiry, lead or viewing. Contacting them is virtually impossible. If this is an attempt to replace estate agents it is a complete failure.

Don't waste your money!!!!

Not As Good As The Little House Company

I was searching for a one bed flat and got fed up using sites like Rightmove, Zoopla , Globrix etc as the properties you find are virtually all the same. I started to use private sale websites to find a more unique selection of homes for sale. Houseladder came up frequently howver the look and the confused feel of then site was not professional . Lots of properties but loads out of date. I signed up for property alerts and was harassed by emails for months after.I also think this site is geared up purely for people selling. The sites search is almost secondary to its other services . I used The Little House Company this site is like Rightmove in style and although less listings higher quality . Best of all no spam mail and you can speak to them!. I found my first flat using The Little House Company and when it comes to selling will give them a try before paying an estate agent. They just need more properties

Flat For Let

Got 7 leads fairly quickly but a time waster made me relist the flat. I decided to upgrade from the free package to the premium listing and then added photos.

When I relisted the flat it came up on the listing as being more than 30 days old. I have not had one lead since the upgrade. I think due to the age shown on the listing.

The real annoyance is there is no way to contact anyone in order to address a problem (in my case the age showing on the listing).

A real improvement would be to put the listing back to 0 days when the listing is changed back to active status.

We Sold Our Detached House In 2008 Using Houseladd

We sold our detached house in 2008 using Houseladder during very difficult times for the UK property market. We sold at a good price considering the downturn had already started. We also used their recommended fixed fee solicitor's firm, who were excellent, and saved us a fortune when the sale hit problems regarding a boundary and completely unnecessary requests from our purchasers local solicitor regarding planning consents, previously included in our conveyance when we purchased the same house 12 years before !

We had lots of very serious viewers, whom we were able to 'vet' unlike the frequent 'weekend' house viewers from the agents, most of whom were totally unsuitable and had no serious interest whatever in buying a property of our type, or possibly buying a house at all.

Perhaps the most satisfying thing for us was telling our two utterly useless Estate Agents who had been 'marketing' the property for almost two years that we had sold the property ourselves, and therefore they were not going to get a penny from us.

If you are able to take some good digital photos, and pitch the price of your house at a sensible level, I would heartily recommend Houseladder as a site to sell your own house. You really have nothing to lose.

I would suggest that the Houseladder for sale board is a must.

I Sold My House Using The House Ladder Website, Bu

I sold my house using the House Ladder website, but make sure you get the board, and also advertise on other sites. It was cheap, and I had lots of viewings and enquiries. I also saved £3,500 on estate agents fees!
