Canceled Confirmed Flight & Leaves Female Stranded
On June 1, 2014 I missed the check-in for my flight from London Heathrow to Addis Ababa, Bole International Airport. While still at the airport, Saudi Arabian Airline representatives cancelled my flight before departure and told me the next available flight would be on June 9th. They told me all seats were full on earlier flights. When I reached a computer, I checked Saudi Arabian Airline’s website and saw that there were available seats on flights leaving London Heathrow to Addis Ababa the next day, and everyday for the month of June.
I called Priceline to see if they could help sort out my issue. I was transferred to Priceline’s travel services department who contacted Saudi Arabian Airlines on my behalf. Eventually Priceline’s Travel Services representatives were able to get Saudi Airlines to agree to changing my return date. At that point, Priceline informed me that since Saudi Arabian Airlines had made changes to my itinerary, I would need to contact Saudi Airlines directly for any matters concerning my new flight.
The Saudi Arabian Airline representative booked and confirmed a new flight for me on June 14th from London Heathrow to Addis Ababa via Jeddah. I did not have the money to pay the change fee at the time, so the Saudi Airline rep that confirmed my flight said I would need to call back before 11pm, June 5th to keep my booking.
In between June 2nd and June 5th I was in communication with Saudi Airlines multiple times everyday to check their standby policy. All Saudi Airline reps I spoke with said I had until 11pm, June 5th to pay for my new ticket.
At 9:30 am, June 5th, I called Saudi Arabian Airline’s UK call center to make the payment on my new ticket. I was told that whomever booked my new flight made a mistake, as well as the other Saudi reps who told me I had until June 5th to pay for my ticket.
Saudi Arabian Airlines is denying me the ticket they booked and confirmed with me on June 2nd. I realize Priceline is not responsible for the mistakes Saudi Arabian Airlines has made regarding the changes to my previously booked itinerary, but I am contacting you all to see if someone would intervene on my behalf. I am a single woman, with no money relying on the kindness of strangers to keep me during this time. I am also a Peace Corps Volunteer and am afraid I might lose my position if I am not on my confirmed flight back to Ethiopia on June 14th.
Thank you.

My suitcase was damaged on the flight # SV 871 / SV 211 from Manila to Milan on February 26, 2014. I followed all their Baggage Claim procedures and at some point I've had an e-mail as follows:
"We are pleased to inform you that your claim is finalized , therefore, we are attaching a discharge receipt to fill in, sign with required details and return.
Upon receipt of a duly completed/signed discharge receipt we will forward the compensation cheque to given address in registered mail".
My File Reference: MXPSV10089. Unfortunately nothing happened since April 2, 2014 decision. No check has been sent. No one answer the phone at Baggage Claim Office and no one replies to my numerous e-mails. It's been six weeks now and I lost my hope to ever recover any money for my damaged suitcase.
Rich Country Poor Airline
When the flight was landing there was water leaking from the top, the person who was sitting at the seat told the crew lady that there was water leaking from the top she called the other crew and they said sit down or else we will call the police,(jeddah) and this happened to another person when we were coming back from the same flight and it happened to a lady(toronto) and there was also water leaking from above my seat too. The crew lady was nice and called the other people to come quickly. Jeddah airport had buses that u took to the airport, saudia has lots of money, but why don't they have money for tubes to transport the airline so the people don't have to take buses. The bathrooms at the airport had water all over the place and it stank. The waiting area had steal chairs which were really hard to sleep on and annocements going on 24-7 so u couldn't sleep. The seats in the aircraft were very uncomfortable, but they had snacks on board if u got hungry.
Best Airline Ever
Checking in at JFK was great!! Excellent customer service.. Food was average.. Crew was friendly.. I would travel again with Saudi..
Your Baggage Can Be Stolen With Saudi Airlines
I usually travel to and fro CDG to Karachi. This time I took saudi Arabian airlines as it offered cheapest price. I did not expect any quality services from the staff so I was neither disappointed by seats or snobbish staff nor pathetic Jeddah airport services was a surprise to me. What surprised me was at my way back, the airline charged me extra at the airport on the pretext of certain taxation. This was even OK with me but to my utmost shock,I could not find my baggage at the airport. I immediately rushed to the airfrance authorities who take care of baggage services for the customers of all airlines. I also contacted air saudia staff through email who didnot offer a word of apology rather advised me to contact air france staff. No activity was shown from saudia airlines staff and air france advised me to directly see the matter with saudia airlines after 5 days. The baggage complaint department who used to reply in one line messages never tendered an apology and were more rude than their flight attendants. After I sent them a claim of my belongings in fifteen days, they were able to trace my baggage at Jeddeh airport (transit). The next day I found my bag at home through airfrance courrier but to my shock, the bag was damaged and opened and several of my belongings were removed from my bag.I reported this incident to saudia airlines with a claim who told me that they are processing my claims. However, when I followed up with them after fifteen days, they offered a one sentence reply 'please contact with air france. This service is undoubtedly the worst I have ever experienced and even cheaper carriers such as easyjet offer a better service than that. I do not know how this airline has been given a charter to operate international flights.

Horrible Airline No Customer Service
I booked the flight from JFK to KHI. I purchased ticket well in advance about three months in advance. They call me few weeks before departure and asked me we are going to cancel your ticket because one of your connection is canceled. I asked why not you re-book the flight for another date they refuse to re-book by saying for another date you need to pay extra. In past so many times flight got canceled but airline accommodation their passengers but this airline asking more money even flight canceled from their end and they wasted my time because now if I purchase ticket from other airline price is increased. I will never travel with this airline neither I will recommend anyone.
Should Operate Only In Saudia
So here I am with my review. Flight was on time, I boarded on LHR to Lucknow (India) via Jeddah. The first shock to me was when I was told that Liquor is not allowed in the flight AND you can't carry liquor even in your check-in luggage because this is specific religion airline where liquor isn't allowed??? (Then why do they operate in other countries?). Second was the gentry inside the flight (Most of the people were from labor class and they had their own aroma all over in the flight). Washroom became intolerable within 45 minutes of the journey (ykkkk) and wasn't cleaned for next 4-5 hours. Another shock to me was that they haven't had vegetarian option in the meal because of the same specific religion reason and I ended up eating bread and butter throughout my journey.
Conclusion is simple, when they operate all over the world, why do they impose their religion specific rules to their passengers? My journey was from London to Lucknow and I had nothing to do with their country or their out of world rules. I have never seen any other airline imposing their stupid rules to their passengers. So, travel only if you are one of them or strictly from labor class.

New York-jeddah-islamabad
Check in at JFK was a breez. Flight left on time. NY_Jeddah was a boeing 777-200, nice clean aircraft. Food was average. Cabin crew was nice and very helpful. They have an open selfservice snack bar in the rear of the aircraft, with cheese sandwiches, soda, all kinds of juices, and fresh fruit, like apples, bananas and peaches.
Jeddah-Islamabad was a 747-400. Full flight. Again left on time, and evry thing was fine. At Islamabad our one suite case was missing. It still have not been located. Only reason I will fly this airline line is its low price.
