Fantastic Service
Had a major blockage in Lowestoft on Saturday morning. Engineer turned up within half an hour. He was a really knowledgeable, professional and helpful guy. He knew his profession, and dealt with the problem accordingly. We were so impressed, considering todays standard of communication, response and expertise from most suppliers are negligible. Thoroughly Recommend anglia water, for their efficiency, hard work patience, over a long and tedious appointment…..many thanks indeed,

I had a blocked loo. I had an excellent telephone response from a helpful reassuring chap who arranged for a technician to attend. Within less than 24 hrs the operative had called, identified a shared Sewer pipe blockage and cleared it. All free of charge. A great service.

Anglian Water A Total Lack Of Respect For Its Customers
Booked an appointment for Anglian water to come to my house to test the drinking water supply as we have a section of lead pipe in our system. Appointment was made and confirmed for Friday 20 August between 12noon and 4pm, I accept that companies these days seem to have a complete lack of ability to schedule an appointment to a one hour window, so I had to accept their 4 hour window. They kindly sent me two text messages to make sure I would be at home during their 4 hour window, but sadly they, not only, didn't turn up in their own time frame, they also omitted to call me, their customer, to say they couldn't attend!
So I, the customer, had to ring them. I was given a vague story about how the man coming to take a sample of my water had got diverted to a major mains burst. When asked why that had stopped them calling me they said that the deeper they dug the more serious the leak was and the longer the sample taker would be held up, but does not explain why no phone call!
They made a point of saying how busy they were, and of course I wasn't busy at all sitting at home for 4 hours twiddling my thumbs, and after all I am only a customer.
Customer care is obviously not their strong point (nor by the sound of it is burst water main fixing) and they appear to have a total lack of respect for their customers, I have never seen so many negative reviews for a company, so may I suggest to the CEO that he invests more money in this area and may I also suggest that Government gives us, the customer, the right to switch our water and sewage suppliers, nothing like a bit of competition to get companies to put their house in order.

Attempted Overcharge
Having paid by direct debit for a year, the final balance meant that I owed them £11.00. They proposed that the direct debit should rise to £27 a month. I had not read in the newspapers that water charges had gone up by over 30%, so I declined their kind offer and cancelled the direct debit. Now they can to the inconvenience of billing me each quarter and then resolving the incorrect charge with the estimate not being the same as the actual meter reading.
Leak From Neighbours Meter
very quick response and repair of an outside leak on house next door which is unoccupied we reported it on Sunday and it was fixed Monday morning good job thank you.

Fantastic Service Exceeded Expectations .
We had a problem with the stopcock in our courtyard springing a leak on Boxing Day. As we have emergency insurance I phoned the company and they said someone would come out as soon as possible. After three days and many phone calls someone turned up and said he could not do the job and suggested I contact Anglian Water.
I called their leak reporting number and was told someone would be out the next day between 12-4:00. We got confirmation texts about the times but frankly did not believe for a minute they would arrive in the hours stated. How wrong we were!
A young man was on site at 11:30 identified the problem, told us it was their problem and would fix it no problem and even better no cost to us. He booked the job in and told us it would be done over the weekend unless a big emergency came up.
The next day we went shopping at 10:00 came back at 13:00 and the workmen had been, done the work, replaced the gravel very tidily and departed.
Very impressed and cannot thank them enough for a prompt and efficient service.

Just want to say thank you to the people who solved my water issue to my sprinkler system. They were helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble and I am grateful that the problem was solved quickly and efficiently. So 10/10 to your staff.
Replacement Water Meter
Moving into our new home we were mortified to be informed within 3 days by Anglian Water , that our water meter would have to be moved due to contaminated soil which they would move free of charge but we needed to replace 50m of water pipe along our drive to our property ourselves.This was an enormous task but with the guidance and support from Anglian staff it made the situation alot less difficult.They were always just a phonecall away. The team who replaced meter were professional and very tidy workers.But a special mention to the person I dealt with for his guidance and support. Good job Anglian Water !!!!!!!!!!!!
Blocked Sewer
Our waste water was not running away so after rodding the final section of pipe which went out to the road, I contacted Anglian Water. When the technician came out the following day, he was able to locate the source of the problem which was 200 yards up the road. Clearing the blockage proved to be a lengthy and difficult task. However, the technician made the effort to come to our door several times to keep us updated on progress. From what I gathered, heavy machinery was required to clear the blockage and eventually things were back to normal. Thanks for an excellent service
