Maggie Sottero - Maggie Brides

I tried on Ericka by Maggie sottero, I fell in love with it and brought it. Then the problems started!

1. The dress took 6 months to arrive, although I was warned about this, however I was supposed to receive a sample of the material, which 7 months later I still do not have!

2. once the dress came I realised something was wrong with it, yes it looked very similar but a few minor details were wrong and this took away the special feeling of the dress! I wanted it to be identical to the sample dress but it is not, however Maggie refuses to accept this she says its perfect, although admitted that DRESSES WILL NOT BE IDENTICLE THEY WILL VARRY FROM EACHOTHER ...or in other words they are poorly made!!!!

3. also I ordered my dress 3 inches shorter so I could wear small heels, Maggie sent me a "3inchs shorter" dress that just happens to be the same length as the regular one, so now I have to wear 4 inch heels!

4. the 'swishes' in the dress became pleats as the dress maker had sown the beading over the edge making the dress look odd and ill fitting as this was across my low stomach.

5. it was not value for money as £1000 is a waste of money if your product is incorrect!

6. if money and time permitted it I would order another dress from a designer that makes their dress in the uk and not china!!!!!!

BEWARE!!!! I bought my Maggie Sottero dress from a reputable bridal shop and when I got the dress after 6 mths, it was a complete mess! The boning of the dress, the motif beading and the back panel on the dress were all sewn on lopsided. It was terrible. To make it worst, Maggie Sottero even tried to claim it may be due to my body structure which is why the dress appears lopsided on me. When you looked at the dress on the hanger you can clearly see that there was something wrong. They also claim it goes through some quality control before it arrive. Don't believe them! I had to wait another month for a (so they claim) new dress to arrive. By then it was 3 weeks out from the wedding and I still had to get it altered to fit perfectly. I definately would NOT recommend getting a Maggie Sottero unless you seeking high stress right before you wedding. Worst wedding dress designer!!

Maggie Sottero dresses are certainly beautiful and I found my dream dress "Brightyn". I fell in love with the dress and since I usually am a size 0 the bridal shop consulted with the designer and ordered a size 0 which also matched their size chart. I waited patiently for the dress to arrive and when it finally did. It did not fit , they couldnt get the zipper up. My measurements hadn't changed a bit, still matched the size chart. Anyway the store ordered a new dress in a size 4 and now I have to wait 2 months whcih is very close to my december wedding. I still give the dress 3 stars because it is gorgeous but I was extremely disappointed that the sizes run so small. Another friend of mine had the same trouble and had to have her dress taken out.

I ordered my dress 10 months before our wedding date. It arrived 5 months later but had a flaw in the fabric right in the middle at the front. It has had to be remade and they've guaranteed delivery 2 weeks prior to the wedding. I'm so anxious it won't arrive :-( Money has already been paid in full but wish I could cancel and just go somewhere else (Monsoon? a sample from another shop?).

They could make a dress in a month if they wanted to.

Very disappointed indeed.

I thought I got a good deal hence I paid full price (Don't ever do this!). A&F said at the show that I could check out other colours at their shop and I could make up my mind then..even change dress if I wanted to. Went to the shop in April for fitting, my mum&sis came down from Manchester to share the experience..to my horror the sample dress was not there..not in any colour! We were very disappointed to say the least. A&F kept promising that the sample dress was on its way. I chased them all the time as I wanted to make sure which colour to get. After all you only wear one dress on that special day and it has to be the Right One! Finally in June I got fed up and said that I was not happy with the service and wanted my money back to get a dress elsewhere. After some discussion, A&F said they will have to talk to MS and get back to me. MS are being difficult even though the said dress has not been made. How can it? I haven't even been measured for the dress! I am still in the battle to get my money back - it is now end of July almost half a year after I parted with my money.

Maggie Sottero have great dresses and many styles to choose from. Choose a reputable vendor, as they are the ones you are going to deal with. Also, most dresses come in many colours, so it's great having the option.

My experience with Maggie Sottero bridalwear began with the bridal shop that I purchased the gown from closing down before the dress arrived. This belated my receiving of the dress by a few months. Maggie Sottero was also difficult to reach and to communicate with regarding where the dress should be shipped. They shipped it months late and to an address in Brooklyn, NY when I live in Missouri. Although we had informed the manufacturer about their previous vendor closing down, they preceded to ship my dress 2 times to the Missouri address of the closed shop. They did not seem to know that their own vendor had closed down and did not seem to care that I received my dress in time for the wedding. I had read poor reviews of this company in the past, and my experience proved their unreliability.
