The Worst Experience I’ve Ever Had

I ordered the iPhone 15 pro and a pay monthly contract which was on pre order whilst they were waiting for stock. Checked the next day and the phone was now in stock on the website, so I phoned them and for some reason my order was still on pre order so they updated my order and it was dispatched the next day. When my package arrived by DPD I opened it and to my horror the only thing inside was a £20 powerbank and nothing else!! So either the wrong item has been sent or my phone and contract have been missing. I could not believe my eyes. I immediately called mobiles and the people and customer service are not the easiest to deal with. They raised an investigation for me and said they would send someone from DPD to collect the powerbank and I confirmed with them several times if I would need a postage label and they assured me I wouldn’t. The guy from DPD turned up and guess what, I needed a label. This happened 3 times before they finally sent me a label and the item was collected. After 2 weeks of no response from the investigation team (even after constant emails from me) and several calls to mobiles, the outcome is that they are not claiming any responsibility and DPD are apparently saying my parcel has not been tampered with, which is impossible. So now I have no choice but to go to the police. I will also be going to as many newspapers as I can to spread the word about this company. My phone is still missing and now I have received a letter from Vodafone outlining my plan details even though I never received a sim. I can’t cancel my contract because it’s from a 3rd party and mobiles refuse to cancel my contract. It’s a real shame and very upsetting because I have used competitors before with no issues but thought I’d give mobiles.co.uk a try and I have been left devastated. Please avoid this company, it’s not worth it as there are other options and like I said I’ve never had this from any other company. They will not look after you if anything goes wrong with your delivery.

Thanks For Nothing

The system says no. So you're screwed.

My original experience was good. Took out a new Vodafone contract with Mobiles.co.uk. The phone arrived, but out of the box there was a clear problem with the UI. I transferred the data from my old phone and got the black screen of death. Took me 5 hours of constant resetting to get to a point where the system booted and I could reset to factory settings. Decided to try again, reinstalling the data and it happened again. I needed to return the phone. My issue was that 1) is requested to port the number from O2 to Vodafone and 2) I've travelled away from home to a funeral and don't have the box. Won't be back until Wednesday. I spoke to the lady on the phone and she said she could arrange an exchange, they take an average of 5 days. But because I don't have the box I couldn't get a collection till Thursday, (todays Sunday). I explained that the port is happening tomorrow and that the new number won't work on my current locked O2 phone. I run a business and can't have 2 weeks without a working phone. I offered to buy a phone out right and pay £1500 so that they could send one ahead of time to enable me to have a working phone. I can't do that she said, the system won't let me. Ok, let me take out a new Vodafone contract and cancel this one, I sad. I can't do that, Vodafone won't let you take out another contract for 7 days. All we can do is arrange a collection and cancel your contract. They had a real opportunity to provide great service and support me and unfortunately, the system says no. What a shame. I now face 2 weeks with no phone. Trying to run a business. Impossible. I'm so frustrated. Thanks for nothing Mobiles.co.uk

Can't Have 2 Contracts

I have 14 year old twins, who love their phones! They've both had contracts at the same time with Tesco and more recently, Vodafone. Saw a great deal on mobiles.co.uk as current contracts are due to be upgraded. Purchased the deal for child 1 no problem. Declined for 2nd phone as customer services said I couldn't have 2 contracts! Hasn't gone down well in my house. Child 1 won't let me cancel theirs until I can get contracts for both.

Absolutely Appaling

I have experienced the worst ever service, they promise next day delivery and blame courier service DPD, told me they sent the phone out but courier said that they have never even received it. Then DPD told me that it’s coming from curry’s so I guess these guys act as a middle man. I had to call up over 7 times and gave up and requested a refund, just use Amazon if you need to if not buy in store all these online websites are nothing but headache and hassle, there call centre is in south Africa and when you call up they sound like they are having a party!

Avoid!!!

Ordered 1 phone via their website - they sent me 2 phones and set up 2 contracts in error. Having sent the second phone back, I’ve spent approx 4 hours over several phone calls to customer services trying to get a refund for the second phone and still not received any refund.

It’s a joke! I wish I hadn’t ordered my phone with them - avoid at all costs! They’re quick enough to take your money in error- but won’t give it you back! I never write reviews, but have been so annoyed with how they’ve treated me, I’m hoping someone from their company reads this review and can actually sort it out for me!

A Deplorable Unfair Company

This company is incompetent joke and quite honestly deplorable in its handling of situations. I would highly urge you to take your money elsewhere. Unless you wish to encounter issue after issue after issue and have had to spend months and months trying to resolve it.

I haven’t had one singular issue with Mobiles. I’ve had multiple.

First off, I got sent a bunch of sim cards through the post from them in. I rang them up thinking there had been a data breach of some sort. Only to be told there had been a ‘system fault’ of which I would have been charged for two extra contracts if I hadn’t rung up and told them. They cancelled them and told me to throw them away.

Secondly halfway through my cashback contract I could no longer claim cashback.

Thirdly and probably the worst. They took a second contract out without my consent again. Consent doesn’t seem to be something they value. It was well hidden behind my other phone contract, and I only noticed when the charges increasingly jumped. I have been trying to get my money back for the last five months from them.

I truly believe had I not been persistent they would have happily kept the hundreds of pounds that are mine.

Their customer service and handling of this situation has been atrocious. In the last 5 months I have called up around 30 or more times have spent hours of my time when which are added up are days just trying to sort it.

I have been hung up on consistently (10+x) by advisors when they can’t be bothered to deal with the situation or when I have asked to speak to someone higher up. For me then to have to phone up again and be placed in another long queue. They have been extremely negligent in the whole situation, constantly trying to shift the narrative that it was me who took it out. They have batted me back and forth between Vodaphone and themselves. Trying to constantly shift the blame. The managers too have been careless and inept to deal with it. Respresentative who I spoke too, also tried to place blame and fault upon me, saying it must be false and leaping to anything that would take the blame from them. I was promised call backs which I waited hours for and didn’t receive constantly. For such a ‘high priority case’ as they called it, they were happy to play me around. I got another manager who too was at first more helpful but soon became inattentive after promising to escalate the matter further and would keep me updated with anything that would happen with updates and call backs. He was also going to ring me when he got the information back. He didn’t – he’d apparently told someone else too and they hadn’t. I found him quite impertinent like he couldn’t be bothered. I finally got an email address to request my refund but as of yet have not received.

So, all in all, a deplorable unfair company who has little respect for their customers and who customer services seem incapable and unfit in handling situations.

Beware - With Cashbacks Deals!

I bought vodafone sim-only contract with £278 cashback by redemption. The deal was mis-sold and I was refused that the deal existed eventhough the £278 off term has a presense on the invoce sent. They do not have a compliance where you can complaint. I would not buy any cashback by redemption deals but if you do always take screenshots page by page if you are taking the risk of buying any contracts and also clarify all terms on invoice. Left with 24month overpriced contract due to company's system error. Cashback is just not worth the hassle; they would try to avoid paying asking for details which are already there on the bills.

midge73uk

Can anybody actually get online? Been trying for 2 days now and it won't load!

Hannahbow

Is Mobiles Online reliable because the reviews seem to be either 1 star or 5 stars?

Roger-Nicholas

It's pretty obvious they hope you'll miss some of your rebates by setting very random dates and, in my case, by requiring information in the submitted bills that they don't contain (my address). However I was able to submit the missing details from elsewhere and the time window for submitting claims is quite generous. If you are organised and can stand the irritations it all works fine. I also found the phone arrived promptly.

greenteaAtUK

I have already entered all the information that they need to subscribe to a new SIM only plan. Why do they still need me to call their charging number for 10p per min? That doesn't make sense and is ridiculous.

PhilFranklin1

Can I ask will or do they cap usage to stop massive bills? Especially while abroad?
