As A Printer To Use For General Home/occasional Us
As a printer to use for general home/occasional use, this is a good printer. As with all HPs, it's easy to use, with good photocopying and scanning functions.
However, if (like me) you are a student, or work from home and therefore require a printer to do lots of printing, then this is not the one for you! It has a real problem with feeding paper through if there are more than a few sheets to be printed. As a result, you either have to print long documents a few pages at a time, or you have to be on hand to remove the inevitable ripped and stuck paper every few sheets.
Mine has been chewing paper for a few weeks now and has finally given up; it will not feed paper through properly at all and is therefore now totally useless (even though it is only 18 months old).
Add to this the fact that it guzzles ink at a phenomenal rate and you have yourself a printer that is, in fact, poor quality and a waste of time. Save yourself the hassle!

I Have Been Using Hp Printers Since 2005. I Love T
I have been using HP printers since 2005. I love the printing quality although it takes longer for printing sometimes (depends on what kind of paper you are using). However, you will need to spend more money to buy the new cartridges.

I Bought Mine Through Littlewoods Mail Order, So I
I bought mine through Littlewoods mail order, so it was a little more expensive than over the counter purchase, O.K. I accept that!, but not happy about recent sale prices!, at less than £40!, which really is the realistic price for this machine, why?, well for home use its ok, gives good print/copy/scan, but the cost of the cartridges would inhibit more than domestic use at £15 per cartridge. This machine has 2 cartridges, 1 black, 1 tri colour. the problem with just one cartridge supplying 3 colours? if you use one colour more you will need to replace whole cartridge which may contain loads of other colour/s, its a real waste! not only of colour but of your money!. I have just tried to access support centre, for ink, ran out of patience before I got any where, its a real trial!. would I buy another one like this? no, I would look at machines with more cartridges, cheaper easier to source cartridges and a better customer service site.

I Was Looking Around For Some Time For A Printer B
I was looking around for some time for a printer before I got the HP PSC 1510, but happy enough to go to the internet cafe for my printing needs in between time. Having been on the Internet for a year my regular trips to the internet cafe for printing were getting too regular the boy behind the counter thought I fancied him. So I got out my catalogue from Littlewoods and had a look. They had a three in one printer, copier and scanner which seems to be the way to go so I rang up.
A very helpful girl took my order offering extended warrany at the same time which I took up of course as I can not turn down a pretty voice. It arrived by special delivery next day which was a suprise as quoted delivery time was in a week.
It comes in a lovely box with pictures on it promising a happy experience. On opening the box it is noticable how well packed the machine is so it takes some time to get all the cardboard plastic bags and polystyrene cleard away.
Next the instructions two types one is the quick and easy install guide the other is the full box of instructions. I looked at the quick and easy guide following them step by step and had no trouble until the last task fitting the ink cartridges. This is trickey until you find the knack so time and time again I mis-fitted them until all most on my last piece of patience checked the picture one more time and noticed it said must be switched on when putting ink cartridge in machine. Plugged machine in and the ink holder slid into place allowing me to plug the cartridge into place easily!
So next plugged it into my computer, a task as easy as plugging a camera into my computer, a bleep bleep noise is heard and up pops a screen, put install installation disc into c drive it said so putting CD into tray so as to let computer download all the info it needs into the machine so as to work the photo albums etc.
Now wanting to scan all my old photos into my computer so I started to scan and how easy it is. Place photo in corner of scan screen, press scan, it scans, then a screen pops up on the computer, save or not, click save its saved. None of the lining up rig-morole in the past, it is that easy. Next tried prining out an essay so press print it pops out no trouble what a boon it works like a dream.
It has continued to do so ever since. As it is a home printer the ink cartridges are not very big about 60 pages worth of essays which at £15 each is no cheaper than going to the internet cafe.
I am on my third black ink cartridge and the first color cartridge is about to run out but be careful with the color cartridge as it can use all of one colour and still be full of the other two colours and so it pays not to print in only one color like blue but use a combination if possible.
As for looks etc the same as in the picture so will not redescribe. It is also light in weight so easy to move around work's quitely and has a plug at the front for a camera to be pluged directly into it.
I would recommend this to some one whom does not have to do much printing so for home use a student may find it expensive to print out masses of essays which is does do very well however.
