Queens Elms Is A Terrible Place To Live In If Your

Queens elms is a terrible place to live in if youre a 1st year student. The facilities aren't great and security and staff are extremely strict e.g. Never any parties allowed, alot of fines for keycards, stains etc. Some of the reception staff are also quite rude. There is alot of building work going on near Ash Avenue which can be heard throughout all of halls and is extremely offputting especially around exam time when the vibrations can be felt inside and even the double glazed windows dont keep the noise out!! The final point to note is that Elms is very far away from any facilities e.g. PEC, Supermarkets etc and most importantly it is a 15-20 min walk to Queens. Overall I wouldn't reccomend it. You would be much better off getting a house and you would probaly make more friends that way aswell.

Like A Noisy, Maximum Security Prison With Mustard

Like a noisy, maximum security prison with mustard cinder-block walls and nylon carpet. To be used in emergency situations, only. If you are old enough to drive, sleep in your car, instead. This has got to be the reason why QUB has twice the national student attrition rate. Having said that, it's close to the uni and is significantly cheaper than what passes for an alternative. If you have to live on campus, go to a different university. Seriously.

The Rooms At The Queen's Elms Halls Of Residenc, I

The rooms at the Queen's Elms Halls of Residenc, I feel, are a very reasonable size. The beds are comfy, and there is a very large desk. Everything has a lovely feeling of newness. It is also lovely and cosy. Internet is available in the rooms, though no wireless for communal areas.

An Excellent Place For A Fresher(1st Year Student)

An excellent place for a fresher(1st year student) between the ages of 18-25! We have a mature student on our floor, its january and I think 3 people out of the 9 on our floor have seen her..never mind talked to her! Shes middle aged, blonde hair and drives a black megane..we know that much for sure!I've met numerous new friends and we have made many plans for next year regarding living arrangements which is a plus! Its always nice to come back to the heat in Elms after a cold day and get a warm shower, which you mightnt get in a house, but if you wouldnt like the security breathin down ur neck and u like to hold ur own parties where every1 is invited....get a house in the Holylands!

Its simple. It does what it says on the tin. I think the rooms are small like prison cells but with your posters up etc its ok. The price is okay too considering the heating, water, broadband, tv license, and electric all included so you can use as much of it as you want and always be warm!

The Cleaning Staff May Or May Not Clean The Flat O

The cleaning staff may or may not clean the flat occasionally. I don't recommend you live here if you're over the age of 19!!
