Poor Ringing Volume. Terrible Display And Not A G

Poor ringing volume. Terrible display and not a good camera. Now have a Motorola and realise how bad the Panasonic has been these past couple of years.

I Have Been On A Contract For A While And I Am On

I have been on a contract for a while and I am on my 5th handset (the Panasonic X70) from Orange - apparently you have to report the same fault 3 times to get a different one! Voice of caller is lost regularly, echo sounds appear, important numbers disappear without warning, charge connection is useless, it works when it wants to. Battery is poor and camera is the worst I've ever seen. The list goes on!

Charging The Panasonic X70 Is Fiddly With The Conn

Charging the Panasonic X70 is fiddly with the connector not lining up easily and then not wanting to release when it is connected (Yes, I know there is a release button). The display is illegible in sunlight. The menus are complicated and tortuous. Messages are not stored chronologically. The infrared connectivity with a PDA never worked. The camera picture quality was disappointing. I would not buy another one, in fact, when I mislaid mine I couldn't be bothered to look for it and took it as an opportunity to buy something better!!

Is it possible to send pics to another mobile? I cannot seem to be able to. Unfortunately I have lost the instruction booklet.

Generally Disappointing, I Have To Use The Panason

Generally disappointing, I have to use the Panasonic X70 for my business....but I would like to change it. The only reason is it's dreadful reliability...what a shame!

I Had Heard Many Comments Against The Anasonci X70

I had heard many comments against the anasonci X70 mobile phone, even from the local Orange shop. I was told not to buy this phone, but I thought I would give the phone a chance, and decided to buy it.

I must have dropped on one of the last issued handsets, as the box was clearly labelled a contract model, but was being sold as pay as you go.

It was £130 in June 2004, which was a big reduction from its original price.

The phone is loud, reliable, compact, and the Bluetooth works a dream, especially with an Apple iMac Macintosh G4 with Bluetooth Adapter, (not sure how well with a PC, having not used Bluetooth on one). The Bluetooth transfer also worked well with other phones, minus the Motorola V600, and also worked well with a Bluetooth headset.

As said above, the only things that could have been added were Java Download, and Word Wrap, which I believe has been corrected on the new Panasonic X700, so should be on all other new phones coming from Panasonic.

Highly recommended, especially if seen at a knock down price.

If you like the X70, you'll love the new Panasonic VS6. Its only £100 and has a simply astonishing 2 megapixel camera, video plus all the rest of the usual features.

I've had my X70 for over a year and cannot fault it. I recently took delivery of a Sharpe GX30 (contract) but I much prefer the X70. Anyone want to buy a GX30?

Poor Connection During Battery Charge Is An Inhere

Poor connection during battery charge is an inherent design fault in my view.

Camera function is pathetic, good for stamp sized photos only. I could not believe that Panasonic actually put their name to this device.

A desktop charger, allowing the battery to charge while not on the phone has made a significant difference to the battery life. This is a cheap device (under £10) that your standard charger cord clips onto. I guess the connection pins on the phone remain a weak point.

This Is The Worst Mobile I Have Ever Had. It Looke

This is the worst mobile I have ever had. It looked ok, but the usability of the menus is poor. Furthermore, it is a fairly unreliable machine, and has put me off from ever straying from Nokia/Motorola ever again. Avoid the x70 at all costs!

The Panasonic X70 Is Good Value For Money. I Have

The Panasonic X70 is good value for money. I have tried it for a couple of weeks and it seems ok. The camera is not fantastic but works fine, the photo light is just plain useless except as make-shift torch. The menus are a bit cumbersome but once you get used to them they're okay. The phone does tend to crash whenever the memory is heavily loaded, but all the other 25 phones I tried, apart from the P910, had similar problems. The display is extremely bright and crisp but battery life is zero (though it does charge in an hour). All in all this is an ideal first phone to have but never switch from a Samsung or a Sony to this phone, you won't like it.

I dont agree that the display is good. Under indoor or low light conditions the display is adequate, but this is a mobile phone and I expect to be able to read the screen outdoors. In anything other than cloudy conditions the screen is totally unreadable!

Bought The Phone In Jan 04, First Fault It Wouldn'

Bought the phone in Jan 04, first fault it wouldn't charge. when it came back from repair it wouldn't hold a charge for more than 5mins then turned itself off. When it came back from repair again it wouldn't charge, when it came back yet again I couldn't make or recieve calls and then it went dead again. The phone has now gone to the mobile graveyard. Yes I'm pleased it has. I will never buy anything Panasonic again.

Their web site states that they answer repair queeries in 24hrs, It took over a week!

But hey a week is longer than the phone was with me between repairs.

Don't contemplate buying an x70, unless you enjoy using different loan phones whilst they attempt to repair yours.

Dont Bother! I Wish I Had Stuck With Nokias, I've

Dont bother! I wish I had stuck with Nokias, I've had a Panasonic X70 for nearly a year and I still can't get to grips with the badly laid-out menus and options.
