Do Not Use!
To anyone looking for travel insurance this year I would recommend against @InsureandGoAU as they DO NOT cover cancellation by airline (with a top tier insurance policy) even though their website claims they do!!!!

Awful company and thats without actually insuring with them. Advertised on line doing motorcycle travel insurance and when you read the policy details they dont cover it, and the premium they quoted to not cover me was twice as expensive as specialist cover from another company who i will be using in future. Then to add insult to injury they continually harras you to take the policy by phone calls and e-mail despite me requesting to have my details removed. Having asked on more than one occasion and clicked unsubscribe its not happened, the next contact they make will result in a complaint to the ICO.
EDIT 14th June - Yet more spam from them by letter this time.
Told To Self Fund My Mum Repatriation
My mum died abroad in a tragic accident in Oct 2022. Despite her spending £485 on Gold Annual Travel insurance as a family we received no support in her repatriation. We were pushed around various companies that are under the banner of Insure & Go having to painful repeat information. We were advised by them that their process was so lengthy we should self fund my mothers repatriation and to find our own local funeral directors in Norway. The repatriation costs have still not been paid 6 months later. This is beyond shocking. I want no other family to experience this. No empathy and disjointed services. Beware they do not fulfil their obligations of one of the stated key policy benefits; repatriation and their marketing literature claim that they pay most claims within 5 days.
Reply to Insure & Go: this case is currently under investigation by the Financial Ombudsman after a insufficient response from a complaint made through Insure & Go and Zurich Life and World Travel Protection

Would Not Reccomend To An Enemy, Let Alone A Friend
Here we are 15 months after my original complaint, and they are still trying to make me jump hoops over and over again for a claim relating to a trip that got abandoned due to Covid-19.
I've sent them all the information requested, over and over again and still get the same responses from them. It's as if those that are reviewing claims cannot read because all the information relating to the claim and relevant invoices etc are laid out in front of them.
I really wouldn't reccomend them to an enemy let alone a friend, it's a waste of money.

Terrible customer service. insureandgo are quick to take you money but if you dare try and cancel annual auto renewal suddenly they are impossible to contact. Avoid!!!

Do not use this company. I’ve used them many times over the last 5 years but when I actually had to make a claim on my insurance I have been treated abominably! I have now been waiting for 6 months for my perfectly legitimate (and modest) claim to be settled. They try at every juncture to avoid contact or respond in any meaningful way and I now believe that they have no intention of honouring our contract. My complaint is now with the Ombudsman (along with many others about this company) but I’m afraid that this will make little impact on such a company who care nothing for their customers - My advice is to use a reputable company and don’t touch this lot with a barge pole!

Do Not Buy Any Policies With Them!
This is the worst insurance ever.
I made a claim 4 months ago and I haven't got any response yet. They say that the response time is up 30 business days but it's not true. When they reach those 30 days they send you an email asking for another document, which were already uploaded in the system to start the period again.
They don't answer to my emails, I can't get through over the phone and via the chat they always say "I can't get into the system now to check". The same answer every single time!
I had an annual policy that has just expired so now I can't even get into the system to see if my claim is still there, which I don't think it is.
It's disgusting!!!

This insurer is sham, they do not pay claims. There business model is take your premiums then deny. It is simply not good enough. They have the worst name in the business, please avoid insure and go you are not covered with them. You might as well get your money and flush it down the toilet than give it to them.

Totally Insensitive And 'couldn't Care Less'
Insure and Go's response to the CV-19 problems for those of us with Annual Travel policies has been a simple 'You are not insured if you catch CV-19'.
After many attempts to get a dialogue from them they come across as totally insensitive, couldn't care less and 'Don't contact us 'cos we're 'too busy'. Answers to my questions remain unanswered from March. No response from the CEO (the company is listed as a 'British company' but is owned by a Spanish Firm').
'Insure and Go' seem to only be concerned with diversionary tactics resulting in the latest rouse of saying they have NOW (I first wrote in March) made it a formal complaint and they have up to 8 weeks to respond .... that will take it over 5 months to get simple answers from them!
Based on this I would be in severe doubt that they would be any better if I had a claim with them.
totally agree - trading under virgin brand name - supposedly reputabe brand - refusing to pay £900 of travel insurance. 6 emails + phone call and still nothing. Do not use them.

Travel Insurance Is All About When You Have To Claim
I insured with Insure and Go travel insurance for a flight recently. They have a really easy front end and are super cheap. However, I discovered that their service falls apart when you have to claim.
Its a stereotype isn't it? Easy to pay for insurance but hard to claim. Well, you get what you pay for.
I had a simple claim; my laptop was damaged during the flight. I claimed at the end of November 2019 and am still waiting for settlement mid January 2020. I called their customer services and they said 6-8 weeks was acceptable to resolve a claim. If I'd known that I never would have gone with them.
They should have to display their average processing time along with their charge.

I have travel insurance to Turkey in May if I have to self isolate in this time and have to cancel my holiday will Insureandgo still pay out on my insurance claim?
