Stamford Golf Club, Greater Manchester

I am the resident professional at Stamford. I have been working there since October 2006 and I've thoroughly enjoyed every day of it.

Admittedly we don't have the finest golf course layout in the North West but we do offer the finest "full package" in terms of Golf, Socialising, competitions and overall camaraderie.

If you considering joining, I cannot praise it enough.

Stamford Golf Course is a forever improving course, i've been a member for 8 years and every year the greens and fairways are better, some landscaping has been done to introduce more challenges and make the course more picturesque. The community side of the golf course is very good with regular events, competitions, and presentations etc. It's quite a challenging course despite not being very long due to its hillyness, a few dog legs, difficult plateau greens and a few out of bounds areas that can catch you out, primarily the field next to the third fairway.

I'd recommend joining to anyone in the area considering taking up golf. Be sure to get involved though because that can be as enjoyable as the golf itself.
