Very Mixed Thoughts On The Braun 4776. Very Reason
Very mixed thoughts on the Braun 4776. Very reasonably priced for a Braun branded item, or so I thought until.... perhaps its chinese origins betray it? I've owned 2 of them, and been delighted with the quality of the shave both times. It holds its charge well, and comes in a nice robust carrying case, good for flying. Rinseable under the tap is another benefit.
HOWEVER: both of my 4776s have suffered from excessively flimsy slide-up trimmers. Both have broken within 18 months of ownership, and it's not that I'm hamfisted - I just think the design of that part of the shaver is very flimsy plastic-y. Disappointing, because I would have given this razor a 5 star rating if the trimmer had been as robust as the shaver - and of course I'd only have needed to buy one of them...

I Have Been Using The Braun 4776 For Mover A Tear
I have been using the Braun 4776 for mover a tear and I am delighted with it. It gives a close shave. It is quiet and it holds it charge for over two week so there is no need to take a lead when you are on a two weeks holiday.
It is light and comfortable to use and the case is strong so the razor is well protected even in a holdall bag luggage.
I have been the owner of a Braun electric razor for over forty tears and this is by for the best model that I have used.
I would have no hesitation in repacing it with the same model when the time comes but one of the many reasons that I have used a Braun is the fact that they have such excellent motors.

For A Start The Shaving Performance Is Nowhere Nea
For a start the shaving performance is nowhere near as good as my old Remington Intercept (shame that Rem. don't make these any more!). Also, unlike the Rem. you don't get a plastic foil cover. This means that knocking or dropping the Braun means a damaged foil. Worse than this, the lack of foil cover means that clippings leak out of the razor when travelling. Unhelpfully, Braun also put small holes in the carry case, so that any clippings that come out of the razor when travelling, find their way out of the carry case and all over the inside of the suitcase.
The battery lasts about 18 months until it starts dying. It doesn't hold much charge after the 18 months, and dies completely after 2 years.
The trimmer also has a habit of sliding up whilst you are shaving, which is annoying.

The Braun 4776 Gives A Good Close Shave Using It A
The Braun 4776 gives a good close shave using it as a semi-wet shaver, such as using Gillette Clear Shave Gel with a dash of water. Its easy to clean under a tap. Once charged it only lasts for five shaves.
