Terrible Terrible Terrible

Gymworld are the worst company I have had the misfortune to ever deal with in my life. Excuse after excuse van broke down, it will be there Thurs confirm tomorrow no call no.email. I have complained a dozen times no response ever. Gymworld has had my 1300 pounds for near two months and simple won't refund me saying accounts department not in till end of the week. Accountant is dealing with it. Let me check for you call you back and you guest it no call back. I cannot explain how terrible it is dealing with this company I am now going to have to employ a solicitor to take them to court. Terrible terrible terrible buyer beware.

I ordered and paid in full for a Smith machine from Gymworld on 14th December 2015. This was my second attempt to order as the first time, "something went wrong" with the order.

I was told the delivery time would be 2 weeks but accepting that we had the Xmas break was told to expect installation in the first week of January.

Gymworld did not once try to contact me to update me and on numerous occasions i chased them about delivery and installation. Eventually they have admitted that they don't have the product and their supplier doesn't have the product, it has never been shipped to them and they have taken my money under false pretenses. As if this is not bad enough they are now on the 27th January saying that they "can not process a refund until next week" because "their accountant has to do it and they aren't available until next week" This is both untrue and unethical. If you can accept and process a credit card payment you can also process a refund and you are legally obliged to do so.

I suspect they have financial difficulties and I would caution anyone against using them.

Simply Liars At Best

I purchased a treadmill from Gymworld using the finance method that is offered on their website.

I paid a 10% deposit, and financed the balance over a 12 month period.

As the treadmill was faulty, Gymworld collected the treadmill and then began to mess me about with the refund. When I would call Gymworld to chase up my refund, I would get the excuse that the admin person is not in the office, or the accountant will be arranging the refund. This went on for three weeks. The excuse after this was that the cheque was in the post. The different staff members I spoke to all gave a different story and it was clear that Gymworld were delaying/refusing to pay me.

Finally, I contacted the finance company who intervened on my behalf and recovered the money from Gymworld.

I have made a complaint to the Financial Conduct Authority about the way Gymworld conduct business.

Do not buy from this company.They come across very polite and professional, yet are the very opposite.

Just a bunch of liars.

Obviously I Am Not The Only Person Gymworld Has St

Obviously I am not the only person GymWorld has stolen money from.

The failed to delivery some gym equipment I order from them several months ago and have not refunded my PayPal account.

They use a flaw in PayPals dispute system which automatically closes the dispute after a number of days. They said they would refund my money, but I haven't heard back from them since the PayPal dispute case closed automatically.

Do not buy anything from GymWorld, I feel like I have been robbed.

Avoid At All Cost!

After waiting more than four weeks and being fobbed off with excuse after excuse as to why they can't deliver the item that I ordered and paid for I am sick to the back teeth.

I've rang them almost every day for the last three weeks in order to find out when I shall be receiving my order, all I've had is false promises that somebody will ring me to arrange a delivery date, excuses that the person dealing with my order isn't available, their account manager isn't answering his phone etc... They're beyond a joke!!!

Do Not Do Business With This Company!!

I reviewed this company before buying and seen that it had a few poor reviews, mixed with a few good lately. So I though 'how bad can they be?' I was extremely wrong!

I purchased a treadmill on Feb 14th 2014, and paid for the 5-8days delivery method. The reason I purchased with this company is because it would mean that i would receive my treadmill quicker than any other company could offer. After THREE WEEKS, i finally received my treadmill. However, it was not as smooth as that. During these three weeks, i contacted the customer service via email, phones dozens of times (in which all these calls increased my phone bill by £10 due to it not being a free number) and contacted the delivery company as well. I dont believe that this is customers responsibilities, when we are paying for a service, yet we have to phone up ourselves?! then after setting up the treadmill, the belt was not properly aligned due to a manufacturing fault. i reported this and my late delivery to the company but there was no mention of the late delivery in their reply, and the poorly aligned belt was MY FAULT due to not maintaining my equipment correctly? now you tell me, if i had just set up the item, and i just turned it on to check it was working, how does the item need maintenance all ready after only being on 30 seconds?! so after phoning citizens advice, they advised my to yet again contact the company and write a letter of complaint. I then heard back off the company saying they would get a mechanic from the company to contact me free of charge, and they also mentioned that under the terms and conditions, posting dates are 'not contractual' meaning they can say 'hey you'll get it in 5-8 days, but actually only receive it in 3 weeks!'. If they think I am going to waste more of my time sitting at home, waiting on a call, and waiting in for the next 3 weeks when i am a busy working parent, then they are wrong!! I would never do business with this company, and I would strongly advise that no one else does!

This Company Should Rebrand As Dimworld!

I ordered 4 pairs of dumbbells from Gymworld, and as far as I was aware, the order had been completed.

I then receive an email 7 days later informing me that they didn't have the equipment in stock, would I like to proceed with the order, which could take up to 14 days.. I decided to go ahead.

After 18 days of waiting I receive an email from the same employee who tells me, actually, they don't know when the equipment will be back in stock!

I was obviously annoyed with the amount of time I'd wasted waiting for this equipment, so I asked if I could be contacted by her superior.

I then, unbelievably, receive this email, which clearly wasn't meant for me:

"Do you want to reply to this. We sent him an email to say there was a delay on getting the goods into stock but we were hoping to get them within the next 14 days."

Now, to ask your superior, "do you want to reply to this?", is quite frankly staggering. It clearly shows how they deal with things in this company. The employee doesn't even mention that I had been waiting for 18 days for this equipment...

So I received an email from her superior, who happens to be the General Manager. He offers no explanation as to why the equipment still isn't in stock, and he half heartedly apologises. He offers no good will gesture, nothing.

The whole company seems a total shambles, and I'm worried that they have my card details!

First Class Company!!

Having read some of the very negative reviews of Gymworld on review sites after I’d placed the order (for a treadmill and upright exercise bike) I was nervous, to say the least! There was an initial delay as the bike wasn’t in stock, which meant that delivery of the two pieces of equipment was delayed by a few days. But a new delivery date was agreed – and everything happened like clockwork. The two guys were confronted with a massive treadmill to remove (from a tricky location) – but dismantled and removed it without any fuss. The new stuff was installed and tested – and they left behind a VERY happy customer. If my experience is anything to go by, this company is brilliant – and I’d recommend it to anyone. And no I don’t work for them – I’m a Church of England vicar!

Couldn't Have Been More Helpful

We ordered a treadmill from them. We contacted them for advice about which would be best to buy for our needs. Plenty of useful advice and no sense of trying to ell us the most expensive. It was delivered at precisely the time that they said and was left in perfect working condition. Small company with the personal touch who want to do their best. Couldn't fault them.

Avoid Like The Plague!

Ordered a treadmill using there finance offer. The next day it was reduced by £100. After several calls and no replies as promised they agreed to match the price and I went ahead with the order. On the day of delivery I received a txt from the delivery company to confirm my time slot. An hour after the time slot and no treadmill I phoned the delivery company to see if it was on route. I was informed that my treadmill had not been made available by gymworld for them to uplift. I them phoned Gymworld to find out what the problem was. Again I was told they would phone back and again they did not. On my second call I was kept on hold to wait for the manager but he was to busy to speak to me and when I asked for his name they hung up the phone. Luckily I had taken it out on finance as they could not have been more helpful. They contacted Gymworld on my behalf and canceled my order. I just wish I had looked at reviews for this company before as I now see I'm not the only one to have problems with this company. Stay well away!
