Worse Customer Experience.

Worse customer experience I’ve ever come across in my life at Park Cameras in Burgess Hill. 0 stars. Just rude an ridiculous. I’ve been a loyal customer with Park Cameras for a long time and have purchased many items from them. Never had any issues.

Today I came in to the shop as I spoke over the phone to someone who said I can part exchange my camera. When I got there this was refused by who was serving me which was not an issue as I was still keen to purchase my new camera. He had a very horrible attitude towards me and my wife the moment we walked in. I was then told they wouldn’t give me a 2 year finance option as “they only do 1 year option” which I then showed him that online it showed 2 years.

We proceed with wanting to purchase the camera once he said we can do the 2 year finance option. Passed the credit score test and gave him my driving licences as my ID.

He asked me to sign a piece of paper then proceeds to bring out a MAGNIFYING GLASS!! to check my signature. Bear in mind there is a photo of me on the front of the driving licence. He then proceeded to refuse to serve me as my signature was not “identical”. Now you tell me who can do their signature EXACTLY identical every-time. No one.

We then called to complain to a guy who told us to come back in. When we walked in again he straight away asked him to come to the back to then refuse to serve us again. I have been a regular customer and have always paid but yet today I was treated disgustingly and the whole experience was just outrageous. Wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone. The staff really need to learn how to treat customers.

Received Wrong Lens Although Asked To Check

Park cameras sent me wrong lens although I have already asked them to check it because the image didn't match the description. They answered it was the l-mount Sigma 105mm macro art that will fit my Panasonic s5.

Unfortunately they have sent me sigma DG macro HSM while I ordered Sigma DG DN macro Art lens for L-mount cameras such as Panasonic s5.

I need to return it now as it is unusable!

I Won’t Be Recommending Park Cameras To Anyone From Now On.

Placed an order for a Billingham S3 Camera bag £88.97 reduced from £149 for collection from the store. I waited six days and only to receive an email informing that they tried to contact me and since they couldn’t cancelled my order.

Why couldn’t you contact me? Already have my email address and at the time I placed the order I received emails confirming my order. Also I signed up giving my address.

When I called to enquire a member of staff tells me there was an error in their system and the camera bag isn’t available any longer at park cameras.

I email them back telling them it wasn’t the case of them not been able to contact me and I am still expecting the order but no-one bothers to reply.

I have been a long time customer at park cameras and if there was an issue in the past they were quick to address them and sort it out.

Disappointing Experience

Park was offering the camera at a very competitive price so I checked the availability of the camera on the phone with the Burgess Hill branch and got very good telephone service but when I visited the London store to make the purchase it was a disappointing experience. You are thinking of buying a super zoom camera so you obviously want to try it but I was not allowed to take it out of the door of the store. Instead I was encouraged to squeeze between two display cases and try it through the window. The street is not very wide and it was not really possible to test it properly. The assistant did not seem to have much knowledge of the product or particular interest in selling me a £450+ camera. When he put the sale up on the till it showed the wrong price which I had to point out to him and which he checked on the display. He corrected the price but without apology or explanation. On completing the sale he did offer me a bag to carry the purchase but there was no bonhommie, "hope you enjoy the camera" or anything.

Complete Lack Of Customer Care And Communication - 5w Delay

Went to the London store searching for the Sony A7. I was told that the display model was the only one left in stock, and that the model had been discontinued by the manufacturer so I was unlikely to be able to find a new one. Was this a blatant sales attempt to get rid of their display stock?! Because a couple of days later I tried ordering the model from Park Cameras online having enquired at the Haywards Heath store that they did in fact have the model in stock! So, I ordered the camera w/ kit lens on 24th September...a few days later I receive a notifaction saying the model was not in stock and was subsequently on order from the manufacturer. On 7th October I receive a similar message. 8th October I am informed that there are no accurate times they can offer as it was in the hands of the manufacturers. After a couple of enquiries with the customer services team, I am further informed that I should be patient and that the item should be ready by the 25th October. However, on 25th October I am notified that my payment has been declined, and they cannot process my order. How or why this was communicated to me 30 days after I successfully completed the order online I have no idea. Upon calling the Hayward's Heath branch there was similar confusion because they had the item in stock since the initial order was made?!?! So I decided I would try one last time over the phone with the gentleman that said the item was indeed in stock. This was Thursday 26th October, and I was informed the camera would be posted next day delivery to arrive Saturday 28th....I was left wanting. I received an email on 2nd November saying my order had been processed, despite the monies coming out from my account on the date the order was made. The camera eventually arrived on 4th November, another week after it was due.

I have bought a number of items with Park Cameras in the past, however this experience has shown me they have no consideration for their customers and an acute lack of basic courtesy. Be warned, the low prices will let you down!

Worst Customer Experience

After calling park cameras on the 16th November 2016 to place an order of bowers 400rx travel pack times 2 and a battery power pack and a sigma 35mm prime lens total cost of over £2000 I received the lens which was damaged took a week to replace. I was also promised that I would receive the 1st set of lights and travel pack on th 1st weekend that never arrived for 2 weeks then after waiting 4 weeks for the other set I asked for a refund am waiting for at the moment the overall customer service was herendous and would never buy from these again stay away from them

The Worst Company Ever

I'm really surpriced that a british company like this is still opened.

I have ordered a camera that normally take 2 days to receive.

Called 3 days later, they told we they will send on the same day.

After 2 days another guy told me I will receive maybe next week not before friday because they are waiting the camera from London. (?????????)

So, I'm going to holiday without the camera. Gret job!

They ruined my holiday.

They should close for ineptitude and bad customer service. no way to stay on the british market.

Excellent Service

Recently bought a second-hand Sony NEX-7 camera body from Park Cameras. When I tried it out, the sensor had dust on it. Contact Park who requested I return it. Sent off Wednesday and camera received Friday with a clean sensor.

Maybe Park Cameras should clean the sensors on all second-hand cameras; but you can't beat that for service.

VfM is down a star as I had to pay for the return.
