Jem & I, Didsbury

I have mixed feelings about Jem & I. The quality of the cooked food was really very good and the interior feels very cosy. However, what really ruins this restaurant in my opinion is the attitude of some of the staff. Our waitress couldn't manage a smile and generally seemed unimpressed. However, she was professional and polite at all times. The worst thing though was the 2 hour time slot we were allocated because it was a Saturday night. Particularly when the waitress politely informed us that we would need to pay the bill quickly because they were waiting for the table. This is the kind of thing I expect from a cheap, all you can eat buffet. I'd expect a little more class from somewhere like Jem & I.
