The Deal Or No Deal Game Is A Fun Game To Play But
The Deal or no deal game is a fun game to play but we spent about 3 hours seletaping all the boxes together. This kinda ruined a lot of the fun before we even started. I do like the game and it gets everyone involved.

(review Of The Dvd Version Of Deal Or No Deal)
(Review of the DVD version of Deal or No Deal)
As somewhat of a Deal or No Deal addict, I shamefully admit that I was thrilled to receive this for Christmas!
It's a shame, because it could really be a fantastic reproduction of the TV show.
The main pointers regarding the game are fine. OK, you select box 5 every time, but it does feel quite random in what is in the box and every other one. Noel speaks to you quite enthusiastically, just like in the show, and you even get a realistic offer from the banker.
You also get three different modes of game play.
So, what's the problem?
The problem is the way you get to select the next box.
A box appears in the middle of the screen with left and right arrows under it. It starts of at 1, and by the press of the right arrow, it moves across the screen after a couple of seconds, then pauses again for 5, 10 an eternity! Then brings the next box trundling across the screen. Number 2 appears!.
BY the time you get to the last box, boredom has truly set in. To be fair, you can go backwards, but it takes what feels like forever.
Surely a much better approach would be to have shown a grid of boxes left.
If you try this on a PC, which I never thought of until we had a reply from customer services, it is much quicker, and it is playable, but it does take longer than it should.
Customer services were not the best. We got a quick reply, but basically it said, "it's been tested on a number of DVD players with no problems, and therefore you won't be getting your money back"!
Not that we asked for our money back in the first place, but it did sound quite dismissive.
Is it really our DVD player?
I for one won't be getting it out of the box again in a hurry.
I Expected It To Be Like The Tv Show, But I Was Ve
I expected it to be like the TV show, but I was very disappointed, as my son bought it for my Christmas box, and I love the Deal or No Deal show. I will probably never play it again.
Think that, as the DVD game was so popular, and that it was flying of the shelves, that overall it was a bit of a let down.
When you open the box there is no money in it, and so it takes a while for the money to be shown.
Poor graphics.

However, Deal or No Deal is very addictive.

The Deal Or No Deal Board Game Is A Really Fun Fil
The Deal or No Deal Board game is a really fun filled game that helps you recreate the magic of the show in your own living room. However for £20 it has to be said, the quality of the product is actually quite poor and it seems that the manufacturers have done this on the cheap - which is a shame because the game itself is actually excellent!
Be in for a surprise when you open the actual box - this is because you actually have to make the 22 red boxes yourself out of cardboard. The instructions advise that this achievable in 10 minutes, this may be the case if your the owner of a Blue Peter badge, however, sadly for a cack-handed sole like The Geek, this takes nearer an hour to do! For a £20 price tag you really would expect these to 1, pre-made and 2, made of plastic. Another minor complaint is the voice that you hear on the electronic phone isn't Noel!!! Shame on you DOND game makers!!
Okay, so they are the gripes. What I'm pleased to report is that the game is actually really good and great fun to play with a crowd around. It plays out just like the TV show and if you like the program then you will love this game and I would definitely recommend it on this basis - just as long as your not the poor sap who has to put the boxes together!!!
There are such conflicting scores and opinions on the Deal Or No Deal board game here on the Review Centre, so I'm a bit unsure if I will purchase this game or not!
Some useful information. Many thanks.
