The Good Point First....our Waitress Was Very Nice

The good point first....our waitress was very nice and friendly.

That was the only good point. The place is miserable cold and doesn't feel clean.

The food was probably the worst I have had when eating out.

Quite obviously the cheapest possible quality of ingredients are used and that reflects in the quality. Chicken was bone dry and the tortillas soggy.

I will never eat there again.

Oh, and the tables were sticky

Went To Labamba, Aberdeen On 23rd April 2010, For

Went to Labamba, Aberdeen on 23rd april 2010, for a nightout with friends.Service either pushy or rude. One of my friends tried to explain to the waitress that she did not get on her starter what was advertised. The waitress only kept argueing with my friend.

The alchol drinks were very expsensive. £40 for a bottle of wine, that would cost £3.99 at any supermarket. what a mark up they must have.

The fajhitas were cold when they came & tortelas looked as though someone had bites out of them.Expensive food for the quality.

The toilets. None of the women toilets flushed. The electric hand driers did not work. finally green papaer towels did appear to dry your hands. Dissappointing toilets for the amount of money La Bamba must take in on a night. Especailly for a restaurant. have been in cleaner public toilets.

The party atmosphere once it got going was good. although staff could have particapted & got people mixing better.

Was disappointed after having mixed reviews from other people.

We Went With A Party Of 24 On Saturday The 20th De

We went with a party of 24 on saturday the 20th december.....we payed 30 quid up front for the meal 6 weeks before................... the service was so slow we were there 2 and a half hours for a terrible meal and then asked for a further 20 quid each for drinks at the table when we only had 3 drinks each..... this is daylight robbery .... this so called restaurant should not be allowed to trade and have there licence revoked in my opinion.

Having Been To The La Bamba Mexican Restaurant In

Having been to the La Bamba Mexican restaurant in Aberdeen previously, I knew the food was good, and that there was a good atmosphere. However, having visited there on the 06/12/06, I can safely say they ruined my 21st birthday! As a present to me, my uncle had paid a deposit of £150 2 months previously, which we were told covered a meal from the set menu for 10 of us. This was perfect, as there were 10 attending, and we were told that La Bamba were used to rowdy parties. All details were arranged that night, and we were asked what the occasion was, which was written down by the manager. The table was booked for 20:30, and it was confirmed on the day also. At 20:30 that night as I was in my limo with my friends, I received a phone call saying we were 30 minutes late. Anyway, to cut a long story short, when we arrived, the set Christmas menu was forced upon us, and we were told we had to have the 3 course at £23.45 (which the £150 deposit didn't cover as previously agreed). Due to this, the situation got heated and many of the party walked out, the remaining requesting the deposit was returned. This was refused, and it took my uncle arriving to try and resume the situation. In the end my uncle only received £75 back and paid for us to eat elsewhere. Today I received an email, which suggested they were unaware it was a 21st birthday, and this is why the Christmas menu was given to us. However, my partner had previously that day delivered a cake saying happy 21st Joanne, so they must have known.

All in all, La Bamba's food on my initial visit was good, but unfortunately, due to their attempted enforcement of a 3-course menu on us, we never got to sample the food again. If you want good food then yes, this place is average.
