Ive played on several top session drumkits but the s classic series is surprisingly great for its cost. Its a great kit for most styles except heavy metal. Other then that the quality of sound and looks will not dissapoint. Recommended for advanced players.

Face It Folks, This Drum Kit Smokes! The Sound Qua
Face it folks, this drum kit smokes! The sound quality and just plain bark of this kit rivals drum kits that cost much more. The toms have a warm yet biting response. The kick has loads of punch while the snare cracks like a nylon Remington 22 Calibre rifle. So,once again, in revue, these drums are smoking! Well, this is not just a great kit for the money, it is simply a great kit, forget about the slotted drum lug, I have found it comes in very handy when you forget your drum key, (and you will). A simple straight slot screwdriver will suffice. I own a 1985 Tama Superstar birch kit and though both sound good, the Sonor S cuts through any music genre I've played. I am currently recording and playing in a Christian rock outfit and a Praise and Worship band. The S series does not dissapoint. So,to sum up, the Sonor S series simply rocks!

I bought my Sonor S Class Drum Kit 3 years ago, and both recorded and played live many times with it, and it still continues to impress. The attention to detail is superb. I have a Tama superstar kit from 85 that's birch and is sweet but it is put to shame by my Sonor s class. My set up includes a 17x 20 kick 8 10 12 rack toms 14 floor and 5and a half x 14 snare. I play and record in a Christian Rock Band. I also play in a Praise and Worship band, and this kit sounds awesome in both applications. Although this drum kit is not top of the line Sonor, it certainly is not inexpensive, but if you have the opportunity to purchase an S Class Maple Kit, I would recommend it.

I've own my kit for two years and perfom several times a month. I had intended the kit to be a stepping stone to a higher priced kit. I've concluded there's no reason to do so!
