Cristalclear Sound For The Entire Frequency Range !

I have Marantz 1601 AV and the coorporation with these two speakers

is AMAZING !

I use my system over my laptop (DELL) through the HDMI port .

This is not an "Audophil usage " but the whole effect is a

SPECIAL TREAT a wonderful experience to me .

I tested with classical music and romantic pop music :

and with classical crossover singers :

Hayley Westenra : Dark Waltz

Jackie evanco : Nella Fantasia

AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG "If I ever thought you'd change your mind

Paganini-Liszt : La Campanella

for extra piano (Kissin)

and extra for violin (Kogan)

Nelly Furtado : Say it right

The combination with the Marantz 1601 can never overload the speakers

because its rated power is about 30-40 w (sinus !!)

Again, the NR1601's resolution of fine detail was excellent and

the "two big bear" were willing to help convincing us of the quality!

However I have an active subwoofer Magnat 301A my deep sounds were

very effective without this subwoofi .

The Mission m35i was a five star winner respecting the deep range as well.

And I never noticed any kind of distortion !

Price is OK as well they are far to be expensive !

I Agree With The Other Reviewers But No One Seems

I agree with the other reviewers but no one seems to have noticed that the size spec is wrong, they aren't 1030mm tall, they are 'only' 1000mm tall, a foot shorter than stated! the dimensions listed everywhere seem to be referring to the cardboard boxes the speakers come in and not the actual contents!

30mm is 3cm just over an inch not a foot ..

Very Stable From What I Have Heard So Far. I Have

very stable from what I have heard so far. I have bi-amped them with a Yamaha 765. I am using some Ixos xhs223 cable. I just love watching movies more often now as I was never a movie fella. 2012 DTS HD soundtrack made the speakers come to life. I am sure they will be more impressive when I have given them a good run in the near future.

Mission M35i's I Have Owned These Speak

Mission M35i's

I have owned these speakers since last Christmas (around 9 months), I can honestly say that I am very impressed with them. I paired them with a Nad 355bee amp offering enough power to get the best out of them. They will handle up to 150 watts so this is a good match you can pretty much turn them up all the way without distortion, which is too loud by all accounts.

The Top end treble is delicately represented, with concise pebbly reproduction. The bass is equally astounding with deep low frequencies and hard hitting punchy music almost feeling like you are being hit. I would definitely say that these monsters (over 20 kilos a piece) are more suited to dance and bass orientated music rather than vocal such as opera but they are still good with this.

Furthermore I would suggest that the M32i are the true audiophile choice from this range. The M35's have a relatively long run in time of around 40 hours if I remember correctly and do sound a little harsh until they have loosened up. They can be bi-wired which I would suggest is the best way. They also offer foam inserts to tweak the sound plugging the ports on the back but I would recommend filling the bottoms with sand, as this I believe improves the sound. The supplied bases are sturdy and require attaching on delivery, each has 4 adjustable metal spikes to level them out with about a inch adjustment on each.

In summary if you are looking for a good set of speakers for bass driven music then these are the ones. I would imagine that given the low response they should sound pretty good on low powered amps too.

Pros:

Brutal Bass

Throw Superbly

Quality Build

Bite the back of your hand Beautiful

Cons:

Very heavy / Could be seen as advantage

Too large for most rooms

I'm about to buy a pair of these.

Fine tips about biwireing and sand.

Thanx.

The Mission M35i Is Clear And Powerful. Well Built

The Mission M35i is clear and powerful. Well built.....

Best set i've ever heard. They need a powerful amp to really get them going...and they take a while to run in.... but its well worth the wait
