Had all the windows replaced in two houses by this company when they were locally owned. Their products were good and they gave aftercare support. They were bought out by Britania, national company and they will not stand over the guarantee. They are still trying to trade off the previous good name of AGS. It is NOT the same company. Leaking conservatory apparently is not covered after 1 year because it is building works. Don't use this company.

Just The Job!

We contacted AGS in February 2018 as we wished to replace our aging conservatory with a new Sun Room. They listened to what we wanted - as opposed Other who told us what they would supply.

AGS supplied detailed drawings and a satisfactory quotation. The new room required Planning Permission, Building Regulations and the replacing of a SWW sewer! AGS handled all matters on our behalf and work commenced in June.

We were immediately impressed by their quality of build and attention to detail.

The project was completed on time and to the original cost.

We are delighted

I Put My Trust In Ags For Many Years And Had Every

I put my trust in AGS for many years and had every window, door, porch a large conservatory and two conservatory replacement roofs (one original and one double glassed) in my bungalow. The last roof was replaced a short while before they went into administration. What I can't understand is that although they are still trading under the same name they will not honour the guarantees I was originally given - this once was a trusted company, but I would not use them again even though they have the impertinence to keep ringing for business.

Failed To Bother With Our Order. Don't Bother With Them.

We ordered and paid the deposit for Windows and a porch from this company. We were told the date we could expect them to be fitted by. The date came and went with no contact. We rang them and they promised to look into it and get back to us. Eventually we received an apologetic phone call, they had forgotten to place our order, they gave us a new date with a longer run in time than the original. We are not even a priority, so we are right back at the start of the ordering process, they have kept our deposit though, clearly this company don't want our business. We are making arrangements to take it elsewhere.

Love My New Conservatory

The sales rep who came to my house was very efficient and professional. He sold me exactly what I wanted, was not pushy and gave good advise. The conservatory looks great and the fitters were respectful and tidied up after themselves. I would happily recommend this company. There are some bad reviews on this website but they all seem to be from before the company was taken over so I didn't pay much attention to these. I can not fault anything with the company. From start to finish it was quick and painless and the finished product is exactly want I asked for.

Replace 7windows & Patio Door.

We have just had AGS to replace our 20 year old double glazing. I cannot praise them highly enough, they were polite very efficient and cleaned up when they had finished. We had 3 quotes but chose AGS because unlike the others were not pushy and felt we had time to make up our own mind. We would not hesitate to recommend them to all our friends.

Poorly Installed, No Warranty

they turned up and installed 2 windows and a door which we were pretty happy with until the winter time when we noticed that there was a big gap between the door and the wall. We phoned them to get them to come and fix their mistake but told us that due to a buyout that our warranty didn't mean anything. I would recommend to stay well away from ags

Superb Product And Installation

I have used AGS on a number of occasions, and have recently (September 2014) had their PVCU sliding sashes installed to the extension of a nursing home. The windows are superb - robust, well designed and attractive. The run-through horns make the windows look like authentic wooden sashes and unlike the clip on horns fitted by most companies, they cannot be dislodged - being integral with the window itself.

Being class A windows, they have made a tremendous difference to the ambience and temperature retention of the home, and a big improvement from the wooden sliding sashes in place previously.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the salesman (Mr A.R. from St Austell), the company, and the fitters. It is a rare experience to have windows fitted with such sensitivity for both the building and occupants, and a salesman who has been with the company for so many years and confident enough of his product to give his home phone number!

Have used both a local company and one of the major nationals before, but neither come close to the service or quality of fit I have experienced from AGS. Thank you!

Former Customer Ags

We have over the last few years replaced all windows ,doors, and had a conservatory added.

We had a problem with our bathroom window.

we rang AGS as we were still under guarantee ,to be told they had been taken over and they would not honourthe guarantee.

if i want it sorted it will cost me £80... £55 being the call out charge.

So just be wary as we were going to extend our conservatory ,needless to say we will not be doing so now.

We've had the same problem, except we had a door problem. It's not right that they can still trade under the same name - AGS with the same contact details, trading address etc but tell us our 10 year guarantees are worthless. Seems very strange to me. I certainly wouldn't buy from them again.
