Morphy Richards Mark Hill Mobile Unique Rechargeable - These straightener's are really meant for if you're on the town or out and about and need to touch up your hair on the go. They do the job and work great. So people saying that it's not straightening their hair, try getting some other straighters and straightening your hair first, then say it starts to rain when your in town and your hair got out of control try them then. They work!! :o) I've had mine now for about 2/3 years and they are still working well!

The Morphy Richards straighteners made no impact on my hair whatsoever (and my hair is not even that curly!). The irons lost heat as soon as I took them out and the length of the irons was too small to make any impact on my hair (and my hair is short!)

Don't buy one! I'm taking mine back to the shop today

I got these for christmas as after having my hair cut and straightened it looked fab.

Unforunately this model is not worth the 20 pounds spent on them. I used them about twice and took them back.

Using them was a chore - i tried doing it in sections and also being lazy and running it over all of my hair but they didn't work! They didn't get 'hot' at all - the worst bit was that you had to keep the plates inside the barrel for them to get really warm so when you took them out they lost their heat so easily and you had to put the plates back into the barrel - impossible. Every time you ran them over your hair you had to wait for another five minutes. All in all it would take an hour on my thick hair!! My boyfriend used to despair when i started to use them! My hair is quite straight (a little bit kinky) and it didn't even work on me - i would hate to see a person with curly hair try and straighten theirs.

Using them hurt too - they caused split ends and it would rip your hair when you got to the ends. Ouch.

They also felt like they were going to break when i used them - the plates wobbled and they weren't very stable.

The battery didn't last very long either - I went away for the weekend and forgot the charger so they were useless. Still, forgetting the charger made my bag lighter - it was the same shape as a Nokia mobile phone charger but 3x the size!!!

There is only one heat setting on them also, which meant they didn't get hot!

DO NOT BUY THEM!! Buy these if you want a portable hot water bottle - they were great when i was on the train and wanted to warm my hands up - if you are wanting to have poker straight hair - forget it! I am now looking around for a better set - the hairdresser I went to used GHD so thinking about saving up for them. In this case I think you pay for what you get.
