Bellissima Weddings, South Woodham Ferrers

There was only one place I would go to get my Wedding Dress after my Sister in law got hers here 3 years ago. Form the moment I walked in to my appointment to the moment I collected my wedding dress I was treated like a princess. There were so many dresses to choose from & all different sizes & I could try on as many as I liked. Once I'd narrowed it down to 2 dresses I was able to try them on again & again to finally decide, nothing was too much trouble & I was not pressured at all. When I had finally decided the staff knowledge on all the accessories helped me choose the perfect veil & tiara to go with my dress & Once I tried them all on together I knew I looked amazing. I'd highly recommend this shop to any Bride looking for the perfect dress as I'm sure it would be hard not to find the one in this shop. One of my friends has already ordered her dress from here for her wedding in April 2014. Thanks again.

The staff make you feel really special, very accommodating, and incredibly professional.

Nothing is too much trouble, very pleased.

If you looking for "the dress", you will definetly find it here, they've got plenty to chosse from.

I would recommend to visit months (6 at least) before the big day, but if you like me leave it for the last minute, they still able to help you, but can't have as many options.

I recently visited bellissima and as soon as you walked in you think wow such a beautiful shop and loads of different dresses to try on , [name removed] was the girl that heled me and she was very helpful and definetly knew her stuff I was very impressed I finally got it down to two dresses but in the end I decided to go with a dress I had seen in a different shop but it was a very close between the two but I would definetly recommend this shop to a friend

Not a bad word to say about the whole experience. I have been a to a couple of wedding dress shops before and was genuinely dreading going to another as they weren't the most fun experiences.

We were about 1/2 hour early but a staff member explained that my sales assistant (who I believe was called [name removed]) was still seeing someone but went to check and then said that she could see me now. The lady who served me took the time to ask who I was shopping with before taking our coats. The changing room was very private and large enough for me and the sales assistant to try the dresses on easily (other changing rooms I have been to have been tiny and cramped with all of the dressed packed in there with you). I was given underwear, a hoop and shoes, none of which have even been mentioned at other shops! Other shops I have had to try the dresses on in front of other customers and men walking past the shop window could see me (which is fine if you don't mind half your back exposed when the dress is too small)

After trying on a couple of dresses, the sales assistant chose two which I hadn't picked which I have fallen in love with and helped me try them both on several times. I didn't feel rushed and actually began to feel more confident in myself as the day went on. This showed that she new the stock, recognised my body shape and also listened to what I was saying.

Only downside is that from May you have to pay for your appointment (I think about £20), apparently this is because people wouldn't show and I understand that there is a long waiting list. However, they do knock the cost of your appointment of the wedding dress, but as my mum and mum-in-law aren't very chummy this could lead to yet another cost which I resent spending a little bit! Still, I'd definitely recommend it! :)

For making my daughter feel like a special princess this afternoon, after being reduced to tears by another very unprofessional wedding shop in the same locality. Your staff wiped her tears away and made her feel like she was beautiful and gave her her confidence back. Thank you all so so much.

Bellissima was the first Bridal shop I visited, as I had heard so many good things about it I thought it was a good place to start, and I really had no need to go and look anywhere else. This shop is perfect, with such a fantastic range of dresses and shoes to choose from, but not only that, the Staff are brilliant, they made the whole experience exciting and very calming, and it felt very personal, which every bride-to-be needs. I would highly recommend any bride-to-be, mother of the bride and bridesmaids to visit Bellissima. They helped to make my wedding day perfect.

checked out most of central london for my dream dress,and found it local to me,the staff there really friendly and helpful,i would highly reccomend bellissima weddings,it was an experience of a lifetime.

I purchased my dress from Bellissima Weddings in South Woodham Ferrers for my wedding in Dec 08. I cannnot speak highly enough of them. From the moment I walked into to the shop to collecting my dress the service was faultless. When looking for my dress I visited over 10 bridal shops & can honestly say that Bellissima have the best selection of the most beautiful dress, amazingly helpful, friendly & patient staff & the shop is beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone.

I brought my dress from Bellissima Weddings after trying so many on before i knew that i had found my perfect dress. Great shop, great staff, great choice.

Helpful staff who knew their trade and really understood the needs of a rather neurotic bride to be! However at no time did i find the staff pushy or that they pressurised me in to making any decisions which was great.Great choice of dresses and accessories.

Shop policy disallowed photos in the shop. i understand why however disappointing as other shops allow this.

I visited Bellissima weddings after being recommended it by so many people and i felt i had to write to and tell all brides to be out there, about the fantastic time i had there. The dresses are amazing, and so many of them in every style you can imagine. The shop is set out beautifully in sections, with the styles of dresses, so you don't have to look through. Instead you can just bypass that section if it is not the style you are looking for. It was so lovely to go to a shop where they had a variety of different sizes, as I am not your average size 12. The staff there are so friendly and helpful and definitely know what they are talking about and what style of dress would be best for your shape. I didn't feel rushed and had so much fun putting the dresses, veils and tiaras on. Brides all i can say is get yourselves down to Bellissima weddings and be treated like a princess for the day.
