Fantastic Lawnmower

Left the 350 turbo compact out all winter, and when I went to use it it smoked, choked and went bang, my bad.

Found one on trade it, the 380 turbo compact, and arranged to have a look.

Checked reviews on here and began to be put off, then saw the easi mow, flymo, and it looks like something my 5 year old would have as a toy.

Had a look and tested out the 380 turbo compact, and it felt just like my old one, so I bought it.

Just got it home and gave it a blast on grass that hadn't been cut this year, it was around 1 foot high if a bit more in places.

What a beauty, it cut the lot, filled the basket 5 times, and did 3 passes, 1 in the opposite direction.

I wish I "you tubed" it, just to prove to the miserable snot gobblers who have rubbished this machine and the brand, that this is a fantastic machine.

All these numpties that moan, are the ones who think they are middle class, but don't understand the class system, and think they spend £130 on a lawnmower, it should do it for themselves, reality check, if you are middle class the weekly gardener would cut the grass, and service your mrs, cos you can't.

And just to rub it in a little more, I bought mine for £60 used twice, to make the deal even sweeter.

Please don't be mislead by previous reviews, and go see for yourself.

I Want Another One! Where Can I Buy A New One Of These?

I want to buy another one I don't like the newer design as I think they are very flimsy. Please Bring them back. I would buy another tomorrow if I could buy another new one.!!!!!!!!!I like the old fashion style grass box.

Excellent Cut.

GOOD POINTS FIRST: Super cut, much improved over the 350. Definitely lighter and easier to use than the 350. It also floats well if the side air vents are brushed regularly during use. (quite easy with a brush). it also pays to scoop out collected grass on the underside regularly

BAD POINTS. The 'easy cable winder' is far too flimsy and makes winding the cable up very hard work. It has far too many grass traps, some of which are fiendishly difficult to clear. However, we are keeping the machine, as it gives by far the best cut that we have seen. TIP. A small hoover, normally used in our garage had eased considerably the problem of clearing grass from the machine.

I Bought The 380 As A Replacement For An Old Flymo

I BOUGHT THE 380 AS A REPLACEMENT FOR AN OLD FLYMO HOVER MOWER WHICH FELL TO BITS AFTER MANY YEARS FAITHFUL SERVICE. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. IT IS HEAVY, DOSN'T PICK UP CUTTINGS, USELESS ON WET GRASS, UNABLE TO TRIM GRASS TO A NICE SHORT CUT. THE GRASS BUILDS UP AROUND THE BLADE AND DROPS OFF IN CLUMPS AND IS THROWN OUT, OR IT CHEWS UP THE LAWN AS IT IS CAUGHT BY THE BLADE AND SPUN AROUND. IT WILL SOON BE IN A LOCAL SKIP BUT DON'T RUSH TO RETRIEVE IT AS ITS THE WORST MOWER EVER MADE. I SPEND TWICE AS LONG CUTTING MY LAWNS WITH THIS MICKEY MOUSE MACHINE AS I USED TO WITH MY PREVIOUS MOWER.

this is the worst mower i have ever used, it is rubbish and a total waste of money, it dont cut the grass, is heavy, and as its a replacement for the first one that lasted only 12 months, i stuck with the thing, never again will i buy from flymow, they have taken my money (to much of it) and give me a mower i would best describe as a toy. . .

I Acquired A Flymo Compact 380 From The Insurance

I acquired a Flymo compact 380 from the insurance company after the floods of 2007 to replace a B&D wheeled version. It lasted circ 14 months before the motor had eaten the bushes I complained to flymo and all they did was give be the part number for me to buy a new one from their spares department my next e-mail was not even answered even though I kept it polite and professional. Through the insistence of my wife I have now tried to buy a new motor from them only to discover they no longer supply motors for that model, I wonder why! I have been using a cheapo £29.95 mower from Tesco on line since then which i will use until it dies before buying anything else, it wont be a Flymo.

I Bought The Flymo Hover Compact 380 18 Months Ago

I bought the Flymo hover compact 380 18 months ago. The drive belt has now snapped, and cannot now replace the £8 drivebelt due to the screws that release the cover to replace the belt are so rusty that it is impossible to get it off. So this now means instaed of replacing a drive belt for £8 I will have to buy a new lawnmower, and it will never ever again be a Flymo. they are designed to fail so you have to to buy a complete new one. this has been the worst lawnmower I have ever owned.

This Flymo 380 Is Awful. Fortunately I Managed To

This Flymo 380 is awful. Fortunately i managed to get a refund from B&Q.It appears to be designed with all the features;roller, self storing cable, grass cutting compactor etc etc I'll bet the designers said to the sales dept that they can incorporate all the sales features they want. It is rubbish. I had an excellent Flymo for 12 years before this one and it was great. Don't buy a 380 or similar.
