Ryobi Rubbish

Ryobi 4 stroke strimmer !! What can I say but rubbish don't bother. Worked Ok for a few months , purchased in 2014 , by early Summer difficult to start & will not run properly. It was used in total for max 2hrs. Local garden tool repair centre simply laughed stating that you cannot get parts & the quality is poor .He would not even bother to look at it , same response by other repair engineers. I stripped it down cleaned plug etc no change . A complete waste of time , its looks brand new , but its useless. I notice my local B&Q no longer stock them . If you need a petrol strimmer avoid Ryobi.

Rubbish, Rubbish, Rubbish!

Gave up starting after about two weeks. Returned twice to Ryobi dealer and returned 'No Fault Found'. Should have read 'No Fault Found So Can't Fix It'. I have removed and dismantled the carburettor but couldn't find any obvious problem. Reassembled and refitted it. Started second pull. Started third pull the following day then failed to start on the third day. I have ordered a 'non original carburettor' as I feel this is where the problem lies. If this fails I will dump it! Absolute 'Rubbish'!

Ryobi Pbc3046ye Rubbish

I bought a Ryobi PBC3046YE 30cc multi-tool system and it's rubbish. The engine isn't easy to start, the strimmer head grabs and clogs with long grass almost instantly as it's badly designed and also has a spring that isn't captive so when you take off the head it pops out and disappears into the log grass, the twin strimmer line arrangement is inconvenient compared to the looped line system and the chainsaw attachment has leaked oil from the word go. Don't waste your money - I wish I hadn't.

Starter Cord Jammed So Useless

Well it worked for a while albeit leaking lubricating oil worryingly down the fuel pipe. Yes, it is a begger to start, worse than my previous cheaper 2 stroke strimmers. After 9 months it is now out of action because the starter cord has jammed solid and will not pull. The cause was sudden cut-out during operation and that happened because an exposed cable beneath the engine housing unclipped. Putting a vital cable in harm's way is just bad design.

Dare I say it, none of the petrol strimmers I have owned has ever been easy to use. Maintenance, messy liquids and unreliable starting are the norm. Despite a huge garden, I will use electric from now on...if only Stihl would supply by mail order.

HOWEVER, the after sales service has been EXCELLENT. MY phone call was answered swiftly by an expert in the UK so an intelligent conversation in English took place. The strimmer was sent back and, within 5 days, a brand new one was delivered back in its place. What more can one ask. Thank you Ryobi.

Ryobi Rbc430sesc

I bought a 30cc Ryobi RBC430SESC with Bushcutter and Strimmer from B&Q, along with a Ryobi AFM03 Flexi Mower Attachment, which would be a great tool had I not encountered problems. Both the power unit and flexi mower have been used once, for the first time yesterday and they will now be going back for a refund. The retaining stud and locking mechanism of the flexi mower sheered, making it unusable because it would not then stay aligned. At exactly the same time the power head completely rotated on its shaft, this must have ripped out the internal wiring, as the unit stalled. On closer inspection, a bolt was missing from the power head, which I presume vibrated out during normal use, allowing the unit to pivot. The lesson learnt from this, pay the extra money and buy a quality brand!

I Have A Ryobi Rtl30cesa Strimmer - It Is Rubbish

It was always difficult to start, but got worse as time went on. I am an engineer and was able to adjust the starting settings (by re-shaping the cam for richer mix and higher speed) which helped a bit, but it still got worse.

In case the jets were blocked, I have re-built the carb I dont know how many times - no difference.

In case the head gasket was leaking I re-built the engine and discovered that one of the three cyl head bolts was missing (by the marks it had never been fitted). Replaced, but still no differnce.

In less than a dozen sessions I have worn out TWO starting cords (made my own replacements), and I seem to have permanently strained my shoulder muscles. It is a year since I last tried to start it and it still painful to lie on my right side.

I had the hedge trimmer attachment and its drive shaft failed. Then I discovered that you CANNOT GET SPARE PARTS. So, when we are told to

I Bought Ry30020a Earlier And It Stopped Workin (s

I bought RY30020A earlier and it stopped workin (Start but do not spin the cutter)just after 1 year, So warrenty is over, bought agian RY30530 and it is not workning (Not even start)after again just after 1 year. I made same mistake twice. For both tools I spend several hours and money, but couldn't fix it, or I have to spend more money than the new one to fix. I will never by RYOBI and do not recommand to anybody. It is very hard to start even before stop working. Only good thing is cheap price. and product also cheap quality.

I have the same problems and would not give it 1 star, get it working and it works well, trying to start it is a nightmare even when warm totally useless piece of kit.

I Wish I Had Bought This From Somewhere Like B & Q

I wish I had bought this from somewhere like B & Q where I could have got my money back, but I bought it on line and it has already been back for repair. It has been nothing but trouble. Worked for about an hour, after some difficult starts, but now refuses to run at all. It is out of warranty now and I'm guessing it would cost more to repair than it is worth.

I wish I had researched the problems with this manufacturer before I bought it. Would never buy another Ryobi product.

I've Had A Ryobi Strimmer For About A Year And Had

I've had a Ryobi strimmer for about a year and had to take the first one back as it wouldn't start. Since then I've had endless problems - it's alwaysa case of "if" rather than "when" it will start. It's hugely frustrating when I finally manage to free up a day to tackle the garden and the Ryobi has an off day and just will not play - am about to ditch it forsomething more reliable.

Strimmer Stoped Working After Less Than 1/2 Houre

Strimmer stoped working after less than 1/2 houre use

I had to take it 25 miles to warrenty /service centre

found our it had a hole in the plastic crankcase

repair was quick, only 1 week

then had another 25 miles to collect

repairer said "see you again, unless you are lucky"

I will never buy from the internet again anything that costs more than a few pounds, especially from China
