Micromark Wired Burglar Alarm

This alarm has protected my garage for the last 8 Years, other than one sensor failure it has been superb. I added a blue strobe light via a relay to give a visual warning after the alarm siren has ceased.

A cheap and effective warning solution.

I have had my alarm for over 11 years now and it has been active all this time. I test it every so often and find that it works as it should. I have a garage full of motorcycles and trikes and a sh*t load of tools, and I feel safe in the knowledge that this little wired alarm is more than capable of warning me of intruders. The bright yellow alarm mounted outside is a good deterant, but should there be a forced entry on the property, the alarm is more than adequate to wake myself and half the street. Installation was simple, as are the instructions on how to set the control panel to your own personal settings. I would certainly buy another should I have to.

I installed a Micromark Wired Burglar Alarm which was bought from a local DIY shop.

This alarm was very easy to fit and set up, but as an engineer I don't feel confident that it will stand the test of time. I feel this is a DIY alarm perhaps OK for home owners for feelings of safety and security, but personally I would not use it for a professional alarm solution.
