Where Has My Friendly Building Society Gone?
I chose Chelsea originally because I wanted a friendly, local, mutual Building Society rather than a bank for my savings. No probs at first - friendly, lovely staff who had been there a while and knew what they were talking about and listened to customers.
Recently the staff have changed, and the "feeling" of the place has changed. Unfriendly staff. Problems with the computer system. They also try to "sell" me a stock market linked product, even though I have already told them what I want. There have been warnings from Which? to consumers about these stock market products, so why is a MUTUAL Building Society trying to sell me this ?!? I feel I can't trust them anymore.
Quit the hard sell Chelsea, and bring back customer service with customers interests at the heart.
