Lindos Gardens, Lindos, Rhodes

Lindos Gardens is an excellent base for your holiday in Lindos, as long as you don't mind a few steps to walk up. It is nice and quiet in the top pool area giving you peace and quiet from the hussle and bussle of the resort of Lindos. The hotel is nice and clean with all the basics you would expect with a Greek hotel. The staff are very friendly and quick to sort out any problems you may have. Our bathroom light was not working on arrival and within 20 mins someone was up to our room and it was fixed.

It is about a 5-10 min walk to the nearest supermarket which is located at the top of the road going down into Lindos. We found this supermarket one of the cheaper ones and easy to get to with a reasonable selection of food etc.

To get into Lindos itself is about a 15-20 min walk from the hotel down hill to the top part of the resort (of course its uphill on the way back), however there are plently of taxies avaiable. The resort is so beautiful with narrow cobbled streets and a huge selection of gift shops, restaurants, bars and a few clubs to choose from.

We visited the acropolis one early morning - it opens about 8am and would advise anyone wanting to go up there to get there as it opens as it is nice and quiet so you can snap away with your camera without getting loads of people in your shots. It also makes for a more pleasent walk up the hill as its alot cooler at that time of the day. Donkey rides are readily available for 5 euros however we felt it was a little unfair on the donkeys to have to carry us up there.

There are so many restaurants to choose from in Lindos from Italian, Chinese, Greek etc, and what I do highly recommend is that you go onto the roof terrace of your restaurant as the view is amazing with a whole different nightlife buzzing above the streets.

The beach is very pleasant but can get warm down there. On your visit I would highly recommend going to St Pauls bay which is to the right of the acropolis as you are looking out to sea.

Maps of Lindos itself are available in the currency exchange shops in the resort which we found really helped us get our bearings as the streets can seem like a maze to start with, but once we had one of these it really helped.

I would highly recommend Lindos Gardens and the resort of Lindos as long as you are aware the hill into the resort. We can not wait to go back and have already decided it will be next year!

Best Holiday I've Had Yet Even If It Was Full Of C

Best holiday I've had yet even if it was full of couples and my friend and i are single. Hotel was fab and Lindos is beautiful. Very authentic but also has good bars, an open air club and also a very secret club which is hidden away... have to get in with the locals to find it but that's easy to do as they are so friendly. Advise learning the odd Greek word even if it's just thank you.. they really appreciate it.

Lindos Is Absolutely Stunning! Very Romantic! Ther

Lindos is absolutely stunning! Very romantic! There is however a rather steep hill to get into Lindos which is fine, but the walk back up can be a little much. It never caused my or my partner any problems but if you unfit, have young children or elderly, it may be a small challenge. There is a free shuttle up and down the hill during the day, but what I saw of it, I'd rather walk. The bus was bursting at the seams when it carried as many people as it could possibly fit in it and in the heat of the day, it looked extremely uncomfortable - but it is only for 2 minutes.

I definitely recommend a visit to Pefkos on an evening also. But there is 1 euro 20 cents and takes 8 mins. 6 Euros in a taxi. The buses stop running around 8pm. Check out the Wild Wild West Bar in Pefkos! Great crowd and lovely owner! Happy hour also between 6pm-9pm! 3 Euro's a cocktail!
