Avoid At All Costs - Clown Service!

Great car, unfortunately, I can't say the same about the customer service. If anyone has seen 'White Gold' it is the type of service that the person I dealt with delivers! Severely poor communication, messages were not passed on, and it was frustrating to not have my emails and questions answered, or a call back when I was promised one as he couldn't wait to get me off the phone! My car was also sold without car mats, which is very bizarre. I'm still waiting for the last one. I wasn't shown under the bonnet, or where any of the controls were to arrange the car to my liking. I was pushed to find an insurance quote there and then, and pushed to have the extra warranty for the car, which I then didn't feel I needed, only to be told that he had 'already done the ******* paperwork' and why didn't I say anything earlier. I did say that I had actually called earlier in the week to cancel it! Needless to say, I won't be returning at all, and will not be recommending this diabolical service of all descriptions!

Prompt Service

I was delighted with the prompt service in March when I pitched up, staying in the village on holiday from Scotland, with faulty brake lights. My Skoda is 16 years old but the service/parts staff diagnosed the fault, obtained the part required and fixed it in less than two hours. Brilliant.

Great Car, Great Staff. Happy Customer.

I don’t normally write reviews but I do read them before deciding whether to use a companies services. I must admit after reading some of the reviews I was put off by these, but due to the age of the vehicle I was certain that not much can go wrong with a car still under manufacturer warranty. Therefore, I decided to travel to give the reviews a swerve and make my own opinion. I rang to talk about the vehicle and I was given lots of info and talked through deposit options and part dominance options. I had to ring back several times with questions I’d forgot to ask, the sales rep was very patient with me. I bit the bullet and decide to go and view the car the next day. After test driving the vehicle I wasn’t over keen I must admit, through no fault to the car or the company. It’s Just I’m a speed fiend and my current car at the time had been remapped to a higher bhp than the car I’m question. After telling the sales rep I wasn’t overly keen, not once did he try to push me into a sale. I was left alone to discuss the car with my partner over the phone to decide by myself. I thankfully decided to go ahead with the sale and I was out of there within 40 minutes having paid for the new vehicle and signed my previous car over for part exchange. Over all I was and still am very satisfied with my experience and I am glad I didn’t let the bad reviews. I’ve had the car two months now and it’s brilliant

Sold Unusable Golf Gt Tdi Through 3rd Party

I brought a GOLF GT-TDI 2.0,through a 3rd party BUT direct from sparshatts part ex stock

first of all all the dash lit up and with that happening the car went into limp mode, we had to replace the throttle body and radiator although the 3rd party paid for this, but the car came to them in this disrepair from sparshatts, we brought the car from them in good faith, and although they have done all they can, we are now left with a GT-TDI that is totally unfit for use, and is going to cost me an earth to get put right.

My Advice DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

Worrying Level Of Knowledge!

I went with the wife to test a 2011 yeti elegance which was described as a "stunning example." The car was soiled inside and out to the extent that the seatbelt had dirt all over it. Hardly "stunning"!

The salesman didn't seem to know much about the car. Skoda only sell half a dozen cars or so, so it can't be difficult to know them all. Despite this, when I asked him about the off road style button on the dash he told me that it put the car into permanent 4 wheel drive - it doesn't - it's hill descent.

Anyway, he spun us a few more yarns before we were invited to sit down. He then tried to sell us £1,500 worth of extras on top of the sale price (this is before agreeing the sale price). The extras included some non-negotiable charges including a £60 "administration fee." I asked him what this was for and got the idea in a roundabout type of way that it was just an extra charge for selling the car. What - charging me to buy a car from you?

Anyway, he started getting pushy especially about some sort of super valet service for £500 (again, we hadn't agreed a price for the car!), leaving me with the impression that had we bought the car they wouldn't have even given it a wash. Eventually we got onto the issue of sale price - I made him an offer - £600 less than the asking price - and he got quite upset about this. Anyway, we left. I bought a yeti from a dealership in Telford (340 mile trip) and found them to be excellent, albeit I haven't taken delivery yet. They found my story of the "administration fee" and hill descent button very funny - at least there are some decent yeti dealers out there.

great service for MOT and free winter check and then brilliant help, who after a 5 minute test drive and 5 minutes in the workshop rectified an irritating noise that no one could stop despite numerous people trying

Frustrating To Deal With.

Very helpful on the phone when I enquired about a car, downhill once they got the deposit.

I could never work out if them being so chaotic, apparently overworked and mismanaged was genuine or a ruse to cover themselves for problems/falsehoods said or if they were genuinely in a state of chaos all the time. I was surprised at the poor levels of service and confusion everywhere in comparison to the previous dealer I had used previously for several years who was genuinely fantastic.

Salesman knew nothing at all about the car, was constantly in a rush, didn't want to spend more that about five minutes on the test drive. Half of what he did tell me was wrong, either mistakenly or via 'misunderstanding'.

They have never called me back once in all my dealings with them. In calling them to collect the car, in trying to find out when the car would be ready as there was a delay, in trying to book the car in when there was a problem after I'd collected it - if the person you need doesn't pick up the phone then whoever answers will take your details, promise to get someone to call you back, and that will be that. I once called them eight times in a day, just trying to speak to someone to find out what was the issue with the car, a car they'd had for two weeks. Very poor.

Overall I've been happy with the car I bought, but I think this is as down to luck as anything and I'm very glad I haven't had to have any more dealings with them as its so frustrating trying to get in touch with them. I'll be having the servicing done elsewhere.
