Seahorse Seafood Bistro and Restaurant, Llandudno

The service was very attentive and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent, with a large selection of specials to choose from. Wine selection was large. Only downside was the decor and layout, which is a very minor comment.

Came here with my partner and two other couples and thought the restaraunt was to small and compact,it would be ideal for couples on their own out for a quiet romantic meal. The food was slightly over priced in my opinon but still good food,did enjoy the meal,but we were made uncofortable by another couple placed at the next table who would have prefferd us to whisper all night!! we felt like we couldnt relax and it deflated the evening as a whole. so as long as you stay quiet and whisper all night and dont mind being starred at by other snooty couples it should be fine.

I am sorry to say my wife and I were very disappointed by this establishment and its owners attitude. it is not disabled friendly and the toilet facilities were not what one would expect. food 1 star for 5star price

We loved the Seahorse. We had fabulous chicken, sole, haddock, and even risotto (for me the vegetarian). Favorite appetizer was the spicy fish cakes. Oh, and the cheesecake was the best I've ever tasted. Many thanks.

I have eaten here a number of times, and its always 1st choice on my list of great places to eat in Llandudno. The choice on the menu isnt huge, but there is somthing for everyone. You don't need a huge menu in a resturant that provides excllent dishes on in all of the courses.You can choose from fish, steak, chicken etc even though its a sea food resturant. I recommend to anyone who apreciates tasty food and great service, also decently priced.

This was the best meal I had eaten for a while and definately the best monkfish in 10,000 miles. The food was excellent and the seafood was comparable with my favourite restaurant in san francisco. Will return sooner rather than later. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, atmospere was relaxed. They didn't mind our well behaved 11 year old son, or my wife haveing a starter for her main course very attentive. Don't miss out on this little gem although i would recommend that you book in advance as people are turned away as it is so sought after.

we came here for my birthday meal. i had read good reviews about it and was not disappointed! fantastic ambience, superb food, excellent service. i would definitely visit again on my next trip to llandudno, truly outstanding :-)

We had read reviews of the Seahorse prior to our weekend in Llandudno and upon their advice booked a table. Now it has to be said before i continue that we have travelled to many countries and eaten in many restaurants and have as a result discovered that most are actually of very average standard, not so with the Seahorse. Firstly we were welcomed by a very pleasant older chap who not only made us extremely welcome but knew the menu and the wine and was both attentive and discrete at the same time ( a skill lost on many for whom being a waiter is just a temporary job) secondly the environment was wonderfully warm and welcoming. The food however surpassed all this and was of course what we had come for, and we didnt stop taking about each course as we finished it. Superb quality ingredients cooked by people who know how to cook. Wonderful delicate flavours, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. If you are ever in north Wales I recommend the drive to Llandudno just so that you can try out the Seahorse, it restores your faith in good food!

Althought the food was very good at the Seahorse Seafood Bistro and Restaurant, my partner and I found the service shocking. We chose to eat downstairs and at 18.00 it wasn't busy at all. We were ushered into a cramped corner and watched as the front of house manager and other staff interacting with couples and families as they started to come in. The proprioter would talk about the specials and make reccomendations to other guests.

As the family beside us started to order, they were requesting several alterations to their dishes...This wasn't a problem and was happily accomodated. At the same time, my partner and I were ordering our deserts. I had decided to go with the cheesecake but asked for ice cream instead of cream. The manager made me feel quite uneasy and suggested that this was not the normal but he would see what he could do for me.

The dessert was bought to the table by a waitress, the front of house manger then came across to us and simply said "Oh so you've got the ice cream then" in a seemingly sarcastic tone.

We were only really spoken to and made to feel at ease when the bill came, it was if the manager was keen to get us out the door!

My partner didn't enjoy her dish as much and had found it bland. She enjoyed her meal more the prvious night at the Medditereanean Restaurant and found this to be much better value. I on the over hand did enjoy my lobster.

Overall, food was good but the the service was shocking and really did let the place down a great deal.
