Were In The Stirlingshire Area Visiting Some Frien

Were in the Stirlingshire area visiting some friends where we decided to go out for lunch in one of the local pubs. We came across The Inn where we were met at the door with friendly staff, a comfortable and warm atmosphere. The wood burning stove at the door made us feel at home and the place was comfortable and relaxing. The menu was very well thought out and presented and the only trouble we had was deciding which dish we wanted, as they all sounded delicious. Very family friendly but could also see it as a place to come for a few drinks with friends. Would definately recommend to anyone from the area, as well as those who are not, as the journey is certainly worth it! Keep up the good work, we'll be back!

Excellent, under new ownership since July 2009. Very friendly and accomodating staff, the new owners are lovely, and the food is out of this world, the chefs are top class and everything is homemade. Very relaxed warm atmosphere, with log burning stove!

Inn At Kippen - Terribly Disappointing. Under Prev

Inn at Kippen - Terribly disappointing. Under previous ownership, this was an enjoyable and friendly local place to eat out and the food was fresh and was consistently good. Now, under new ownership, the standard is very poor for everything but decor. The greeting is unfriendly, the staff appear untrained and unhelpful and unfriendly, but the worst thing is the food which is of a very disappointing and poor standard. Beef burgers are no better than what you would expect from a burger van, salad wilting and soaked in dressing, chips mediocre. Very over priced for what appears to be little more than fast food.

I don't think this person is thinking about the same restaurant, the staff are infact highly trained and funnily enough are all the same staff from the previous owners which the Reviewer has praised. The food is the best yet, from top class chefs and everything is homemade. A very friendly relaxed atmosphere, not a bad word to be said about the place now and being local I hear nothing but rave reviews about the place since summer 2009.

Under New Management Since A Year Ago, The Inn At

Under new management since a year ago, the Inn at Kippen looks the part, with a lovely muted colour scheme and classy tartan carpet in the restaurant. Unfortunately the tempting menu on the website is not quite what you get, at least for lunch. I suspect the chips came from the freezer, as, I think, did the burger. Dessert likewise did not seem to be homemade. The food just doesn't live up to the hype. It was a disappointing experience and I would not go back. Previously, the food was excellent, so the new ownership has been a step down.

I Feel The Inn At Kippen In Stirling Is Just Not A

I feel the Inn at Kippen in Stirling is just not achieving its potential. We have been here year after year and in this area people are crying out for a reasonably priced efficient restaurant offering allround quality and friendly service. They could offer this, a such a great location and such good quality food. But the service and the fact that they are so expensive lets it down.
