The Trek T30 Was Ideal For My Modest Needs And Ver
The Trek T30 was ideal for my modest needs and very comfortable to ride. However, after 18 months of mild use the front cogs are almost unusable. I'm reliably told that the whole drive-train will need to be replaced at a cost of approx. £150. I'll never buy Trek again.

Although, The Trek 7100 Is My First Hybrid Bike, I
Although, the Trek 7100 is my first hybrid bike, I had other types before, but this still stands out as an exceptional all-rounder bike. I have been using my TREK 7100 for more than 7 months now, commuting everyday (did more than 900 miles by now). It is very quick, well balanced, has outstanding brakes. Despite havng fairly "thin" tyres, they are quite durable. If you keep the tyre pressure around 65-80 PSI (depending on your weight and use), will be harder to puncture. Extras such as adjustable front suspension, comes very handy when need to pop up and down curbs. Also very useful the seat post suspension, especially if you are a heavier built or often carry bags. Works perfectly and smootly. 100 % recommended.

I Have Had My Trek 7100 Hybrid Bike For Nearly 2 Y
I have had my Trek 7100 hybrid bike for nearly 2 years now and have had no problems at all with it.It is a comfortable ride due to the seat post and front fork suspension. The gears work well and contribute to the smooth ride.It is of a normal weight for a hybrid bike, although this is obviously heavier than a standard road bike so anyone wanting to get up some real speed should probably choose something else. However, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good value, all-round commuter bike, the Trek 7100 is perfect.

I've Owned This Bike For 3 Years. I've Gone Throu
I've owned this bike for 3 years. I've gone through 17 spokes on 5 rear wheels. I'm 65 years old and don't jump curbs, avoid potholes like the plague, and am very gentle with the bike. I bike about 20 miles a day. Just riding down a perfectly smooth road a spoke will pop. The dealer has been very good and has replaced all spokes and wheels at no charge. I'm passing down this bike to my wife, and buying a bike with better wheels.
Bike shops are being forced to build hundreds of replacement wheels each week because spokes in stock wheels are failing. The problem is currently found in bikes costing up to $600 from makers such as Fuji, Giant, Jamis, Pacific Cycle, Raleigh, Specialized, Trek and others. The scope of the problem is still uncertain, according to a cover story in the trade magazine, Bicycle Retailer & Industry News. Bikes made for the above companies in various Chinese assembly plants received wheels laced with defective spokes. The spokes are breaking in the middle and/or rusting. It's suspected that cost-cutting by a Korean company resulted in substandard wire being supplied to spoke manufacturers. According to the magazine, tests show that the spokes have nickel and molybdenum contents far below normal levels. The faulty spokes may have N, Z or S stamped into the round head or no insignia at all. If you have a 2004 or '05 bike in which the spokes begin rusting or breaking, check with the shop where you bought it.

The Trek 7100 Is A Good All Round Bike. Cycled Fr
The Trek 7100 is a good all round bike. Cycled from Vienna to Budapest on one and had no problems at all with the bike. Definitely recommend it for the general enthusiast. If you want to do some serious biking then you might want to spend some more and get something lighter and better, but as an all rounder it's spot on.
