Overpriced And Extremely Poor Service

2nd time I have been for a coffee after work - the place looked like it was closing - staff very little interest in actually assisting the customers. Cakes were extremely overpriced a little finger sized choux pastry £1.50 and they actually gave me a knife and fork to eat it with - a tad over the top. Sat for a while waiting for waitress to realise we had finished and perhaps we would like a another coffee.

Very cold and dismal as were the staff - the first time was bad enough( like being in Library with the atmosphere but last night was even worse......far better to any other coffee shop/restaurant than here again!

With the fact that there will soon be competition from another coffee shop in the area I think it is about time Vin Caffe threw in the towel.

Very Poor! We Ordered Our Food And Another Waitres

Very poor! We ordered our food and another waitress brought it to our table- pasta for my husband and fried potato chips for me which she tried to serve despite the fact I had also ordered frittata. It took 5 minutes before our original waitress garbled that the menu had changed - no one had told her and that there was no frittata. I had to ask her to take all the food back as I was there to eat a meal with my husband. I then ordered chicken and fried potato chips. When our meal arrived there was also a side order of chips which I told her we no longer required as chips were served with the chicken. At no time did a supervisor or manager come to speak to us. The quantity of the food was very poor and the quality was not much better! No offer of a free drink or coffee was offered. We won't be back!

The Service Was Informal And Friendly, But For Goo

The service was informal and friendly, but for good Italian food I might go elsewhere. I didn't think the food here was as good as my wife's non-expert Italian cooking. I found the bread and salmon a bit dry.

It's Easy To Boo At Vin Caffe In Edinburgh. Unfort

It's easy to boo at Vin Caffe in Edinburgh. Unfortunately, there was an unwelcoming atmosphere, and it is very overpriced.
