Dont Touch This Company!
Very difficult to cancel account, and now after years of me thinking my account had been closed i find out that they were still taking money from my account... 14.99 every month... only found out when i went over drawn, and the bank charged me £50 fees... tried talking to credit expert.. what a joke on phone for over 15 mins trying to talk to someone in charge! all i get is i'm sorry there is nothing we can do... They have taken 4 years of unauthorised payments from my account after i had canceled it... Yes i should have notice it before but with three children there are always payments on my debit card going out for small amounts that i just dont notice... every time i changed my debit card they would update creditexpert with new card details... have now contacted financial ombudsmen... and have contacted soliciter for legal advice.

Do Not Use This Service
Within the first 30 days of my free trial I was happy with this service from Experian. However, after my first direct debit of 14.99 was taken from my account I could no longer logon to my Experian account. Busy with work I never took the time to contact customer service as this was not a priority. After my second direct debit was took, I then phoned customer service and explained I had been charged for 2 month for a service they had not provided. Their response was that because I had no proof and took so long to report the problem there was nothing they were willing to do for me. After coming off the phone to go on to my page and screenshot the problem that was presenting to forward in an email to customer service the problem had magically resolved. So I now have no proof in order to receive a refund. My membership is now cancelled and I would never recommend using this site. I would have gave no stars but it makes you give a minimum of 1!

Fantastic Customer Service
I had an error on my file. Phoned Experian and was very impressed by the customer service. They not only put a note on my file to explain, they wrote to the company to get it sorted and noticed another discrepancy with regards to address that could affect my credit rating, while I was on the phone, and sorted that also. Very quick phonecall and very satisfied with the service.

Instruction To Cancel Not Completed And Refused A Refund
I called back in December as my account had been duplicated and instructed them both via email and by phone to cancel BOTH accounts (as you cannot just do this on the internet itself) after taking 2 payments from me of £14.99 they then cancel 1 account and tell me both are closed. since then 3 more payments of £14.99 have gone out of my account 2 on the same day. When i called to discuss this i was told that i have not ever called i did not ask for them both to be cancelled and so will not be getting a refund. they then carry on to tell me that i have also been using the account because their computer says i have.
when i then explained that this has not happend then then tell well yes it has you have been using it (thanks calling me a liar now) after 30 mins on the phione to an arrogant man who wasnt bothered about what i had to say and only about what a screen says they have refused me a refund.
the way i was delt with and the way that they have handled the situation is disgusting i have now made a formal complait to them so we will see what happens.
Good luck getting a response toyour complaint! I have never ever dealt with a company don't who seem to care one iota about the service they are supposed to be delivering!! No on ever seems to follow through...no one ever gets back to you...including as a last resort- the complaints team!! I have paid this faithfully for 2 years, and the very issue I am having issues with, they just continue to push f on pillar to post. I am at my last straw, and now about to write to the Financial Ombudsmen to try and get my money back and voice my complaint with!
Never sign up to services from this lot!

Trying To Catch People Out, Terrible Customer Service.
Somehow both myself and my fiance misinterpreted what was said and thought the trial did not automatically rollover so neither of us cancelled and it wasn't until we noticed that we'd been charged that we realised we had to call them up to cancel it. They wouldn't give us a refund and the guy on the phone just kept repeating a line about us being informed when we signed up but it doesn't actually say in any of the emails that we will start getting charged, it just says that it costs £15 after the trial, nothing about us getting automatically charged.
There's no email or anything to inform you that you're about to move onto a paid plan, they're basically trying to catch people out. I want to buy a house in a couple of years and I was planning on paying for a month here and there to keep an eye on my credit but now I'll refuse to even use their trial again and I'll make sure that I stop as many other people as possible. It's simply a company run by scumbags.

As otherwise noted avoid this company. The free trial is a nightmare to cancel and then once you they start to send you emails telling you that your details have been sold to criminals... and suprise suprise you need to login, and pay to find out more.
Dirty tactics from a nasty company that exploits people circumstances to extort money from them.

Cancelled Then Charged Again Avoid
I cancelled in August they didn't charge me in August then charged me again in September for 29.99 then again in October for 14.99. I rang them they were extremely rude said I wasn't entitled to a refund! I then rang my bank and they have refunded it all for me. Natwest have put a block on my account so they can't take it again.PLEASE AVOID MONEY GRABBERS!!

Process Driven Theft
Joined to check my credit rating on a free trail. Forgot to cancel so was billed £14.95.
Went online to cancel, only to find that there is NO WAY TO CANCEL on their website.
It was too late to ring them, so I forgot all about it. A sharp reminder when I was charged another £14.95.
Remembered to ring them, they have a highly scripted hard sell to try and stop you cancelling, but eventually they agreed to cancel.
Then they charged me again!
The business is designed to prevent you cancelling at all costs, its process driven theft, avoid, avoid, avoid!

Credit Expert Leaves Big Holes In Credit Monitoring
Having been with Credit Expert alert service for several years because having understood that I could relax because "Experian CreditExpert continuously monitors your credit report for changes and potential fraudulent activity.", I was shocked to find this monitoring of my credit report was actually restricted only to Experian credit reporting and that a fraudster simply had to identify shops offering credit that was not vetted by Experian to be potentially able to instantly open credit accounts without any credit alerts being sent out. This leaves a hole as big as a barn door in the Experian Credit Expert Service. Relax? Sure, if you don't mind them opening credit in your name you may not know anything about until you are contacted for repayment of tens of thousands pounds of fraudulent run up debt. Shame on you Experian.
