Babyliss 2099U Total Freedom 230 Cordless Straightener

I got the hair straightner very cheap as it was on sale. It is worth it, it leaves the hair very straight but the main problem is it really damages hair if you use it very day and you always want the best results. I think it is because of the fact that the plates are not ionic as other hair straightners it is not made for frequent use. The other problem is it makes the hair a bit too shiny. This can be a problem if you have oily hair. But it leaves the hair very straight though.

I got the Babyliss 2099U Total Freedom straighteners because my friend straightened my hair when we went out, and I was like, oh my god its so straight!!! So I saved up and got them! they'r fabulous!!!! The really long cord is great and the fact its cordless makes it easier and stops the cord getting wrapped around you! The first time though I didnt turn down the temperature so it burnt my hair and made it smell for hours! But now that I turned it down its great! I used to go out with my hair down but it would go everywhere while I was waiting for the bus in the morning! Now I can and it stays in place perfectly without using hair spray which makes my hair frizz anywhere if its raining (quite alot where I live) I love these straighteners so much!!!!!!!!!

The Babyliss 2099U Total Freedom 230 Cordless Straighteners are the best straighteners I've ever used! They are so quick to warm up and with the ease of being able to use cordless. My sister has the 2085u pro version which are very good too but I have found that with having thick hair that the extra width on this model make it possible to finish my hair in 10 minutes where it used to take me half an hour.

They are a great price! Very good value indeed! When I first got these straighteners they straightened my hair so well! And really fast. However I noticed my hair started to get damaged (although I did use them on a very high heat everyday and I don't think I used any protection on my hair).

Now they don't straighten my hair as well as they did (maybe because my hair got damaged, I'm not sure), but if you don't want poker straight hair then thats not really a problem.

Make sure you use protection. I wouldn't use them on full heat because they are very hot and I can feel the heat on my head. If you use them everyday then then I would recommend not to use them on a very high heat (200-210 is kinda fine for me).

Everyone who has written a review seems to say that these are better than GHD's. I haven't owned a pair of GHD's but they are very good straighteners. These Babyliss are very good too and definitely worth the money even if they aren't the most stylish looking pair of straighteners.

I recently have been wanting to buy GHD's as I have heard they're so super amazing but expensive. However my Babyliss 2025 broke and I was like oh no what do I do :D . So I decided to buy the babyliss 2099U because they looked so good and cheap. They're amazing they work so well and make my hair really shiny. With my straightners before my hair would go frizzy after 1-2hours but now my hair can stay straight for ages. So if your thinking of getting GHD's, they are good, but, Babyliss 2099U work just as well trust me I've tried the GHD IV Salon and they worked just as well as my new Babyliss ones. Also Babyliss were £30 when the GHD were £120 .. So don't waste your money get babyliss 2099U.

I had been looking for a pair of straighteners that suited my fine, natural blonde hair. My friend had Babyliss Pro 230 which I had used on my hair and found worked really well. I decided I would go and get them but the shop didn't have any. So, instead of Pro 230, I bought Total Freedom 230 and I'm so glad I did! I absolutely love them! The best thing about them, is that they are cordless, meaning you put them on the power base thing, which comes with them, so they heat up (which, by the way, is super-lightning fast!) and then you can take them anywhere in the house and straighten without having to stay in one spot, where the lighting may not be very good.

*The straightening itself:*

My hair is naturally wavy, and has ringlets, so with one stroke, my hair was straight immediately! The straighteners have a heat circle, so you can choose whether you want them to heat up from 150' to 230'! 230' is for thicker hair. They make hair very silky, sleek and healthy looking with the shine they give to hair!

I would definetly recommend this straightener to ANYBODY! It's great as it is cordless, heats up quickly, the only bad thing is that it takes for ever to cool down after you have finished!

I decided to try the Babyliss 2099U Total Freedom 230 Cordless Straightener after reading some reviews myself on other websites. I only paid £17.49 in Argos in a sale. I must say I was more than pleased with them. The electric cord is nice and long, and the stand means you can leave them after use without worrying about burnt carpets or beds! They heat up quickly, and the variable temperature means that there should be a setting for most hair types. The heads are nice and wide too. My daughter also has a pair after previously having GHD's, which are very expensive, and they don't seem to last that long.
